For some reason the basket and the payment gateways at the checkout appear to be doubled. There are two proceed to checkout buttons.

Is this because my theme doesn’t support WooCommerce above a certain release?

    Please see screenshots below.

    Thanks.

The links for the images won’t appear?

This forum doesn’t support uploading images – you’d need to just add plain text or HTML links to the images.

There are two proceed to checkout buttons.

This could be a problem with the payment gateway plugin that you’re using, or it could be a conflict with the theme / another plugin.

The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to temporarily switch your theme to Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins (except for the payment gateway and WooCommerce) and change the theme for you while you’re logged in to that session without affecting normal visitors to your site. Note that Health Check may not count Storefront as a default theme, so you can also use Twenty Seventeen as well.

If that resolves the issue, then slowly re-enable features until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

    Hi Hannah,

I am not using any third party payment gateway plugins.

The templates for the theme I am currently using (Astrum) are out of date, and the theme doesn’t support WooCommerce above a certain version, when I attempted to use older templates, this distorted the shop page and the product images were not centered.

Is there a way around this or will I have to use a more up to date theme?
I should mention that this website is not just an eCommerce website, it’s also a brochure website.

    Thanks

    Hi @sianamber,

If the WooCommerce template files which have been overridden from within your theme are older versions this would be the most likely cause of seeing two proceed to checkout buttons.

If you reach out to the developer of the theme you are using they may have an update available for their product where they have updated the template files to be compatible with the latest version of WooCommerce.

This is what I would try first and would be the easiest approach for you.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
