• Whenever I upload images and go to Add Gallery/Images or Manage Gallery, those pages come up blank. If I delete the references to all images in the db, the pages come up fine. I’ve tried lot’s of different kinds of upload and the problem persists (zip file, single image, etc).

    I’ve turned on debug mode for wordpress and i don’t get any errors. My php memory_limit is 64 MB. I’ve tried disabling all other plugins to no avail.

    Help!

    Thanks,
    Peter

    I’m having a similar problem after creating my first gallery.

    I’m at a standstill until this is fixed. Please help!!

    Hey, I’ve got a similar problem after updating from 0.99. Blank screen on all wp-admin pages… I installed 0.99 again and it works fine… but anyway, I’d like to see the new version of this great plugin!!!

    I hope this doesn’t sound like I’m nagging, because that is not my intend. I’m simply curious if fixing this problem is a high priority. If it is, then I will wait for the fix. If not, I am going to have to resort to down-grading to a previous working version. Please let me know. Thanks.

    Henry

    Did this get resolved?

    Or maybe this problem is corrected with the pending release?

    Does anyone know?

    Thanks!

    Which NGG version do you currently use ?

    The NGG version that is not working is 1.1.0. I have it ‘plugged in’ to WordPress 2.7.1.

    The servers stats and settings are:

    * Operating System : SunOS
    * Server : Apache
    * Memory usage : 21.83 MByte
    * MYSQL Version : 4.1.20-log
    * SQL Mode : Not set
    * PHP Version : 5.0.5
    * PHP Safe Mode : Off
    * PHP Allow URL fopen : On
    * PHP Memory Limit : 64M
    * PHP Max Upload Size : 16M
    * PHP Max Post Size : 8M
    * PHP Max Script Execute Time : 300s
    * PHP Exif support : No
    * PHP IPTC support : Yes
    * PHP XML support : Yes

    The graphics library stats and settings are:

    * GD Version : 2.0 or higher
    * FreeType Support : Yes
    * FreeType Linkage : with freetype
    * T1Lib Support : No
    * GIF Read Support : Yes
    * GIF Create Support : Yes
    * JPG Support : Yes
    * PNG Support : Yes
    * WBMP Support : Yes
    * XPM Support : No
    * XBM Support : No
    * JIS-mapped Japanese Font Support : No

    The previous version of NGG (I can’t recall its version number) worked fine. This problem surfaced only when NGG 1.1.0 was installed.

    When I install the older NGG plugin into another WordPress installation, the older NGG works just fine. While not conclusive, this leads me to believe that the problem lies somewhere in the 1.1.0 NGG plugin.

    Thanks!

    For what it’s worth, the latest version of NextGen, 1.2.0RC2, has this same problem — the “Add Gallery / Images” and the “Manage Gallery” producing virtually blank screens — as version 1.1.0 has.

    One thing I noticed on both the 1.1.0 and the 1.2.0 installs is the following message appears after the “upgrade” phase of the installation:
    — quote —
    Upgrade NextGEN Gallery

    Upgrade database structure…finished
    Update file structure…
    — unquote —

    I allowed 20 minutes to pass waiting for the “Update file structure…” to declare that it had finished. No such luck.

    I do not know if the update of the file structure ever did complete successfully as I don’t know what it is supposed to look like.

    My question now is: Could an un-updated file structure be the problem?

    And another question is: What is the file structure of a successful installation supposed to look like?

    Very strange, it’s normally changing the structure and raise up then the version number, do you have access to your database via phpmyadmin ?

    Yes. What am I to look for?
