Can I change a theme

  • Morning All,
    Need advice before I probably do something stupid. my site is working fine, but I just finished work on a new theme and need to change the present theme to the new one: my fear is (a) can I just change the theme from the wordpress dashboard with the new theme.(b) can I remove/delete wordpress from the cpanel and reinstall a fresh wordpress, what are the implications.

    No there is no need to delete the theme you just need to upload new theme in wp-content/themes/ directory then go do your wordpress backend dashboard -> appearance -> themes and select your newly uploaded theme.
