Advanced free shipping and customer city

    Hi I’m trying to set up an Advanced free shipping if the customer city is equal to some city around Turin.

    I don’t understand if the Advanced free shipping works with the woocommerce core free shipping or must be alternative.

    At moment in my shipping options there are two methods:
    1) A flat rate for customers from all the italian states
    2) A free woocommerce core shipping for the customers are 20 km around Settimo T.se

    I set up a conditional advanced free shipping methods, if customers city is equal Settimo T.se, but it’s not working. I don’t see this methods in the check out process

    Hi,

    The Advanced Free Shipping rate is an alternative to the WC Core free shipping option.

    You can use the ‘City’ condition to ensure the shipping rate only shows for certain cities.
    Make sure to test with the https://jeroensormani.com/shipping-debug-mode enabled and that you don’t have the ‘hide other rates when free is available’ option enabled.
    Also ensure you have all the address fields filled out and that the order totals are updating accordingly when you change something.

    If that doesn’t work, please post screenshots of your setup + what you’re seeing at the checkout.

    Sorry but on my wc installation (3.2.6) there is not the shipping-debug-mode

    and I can’t post screenshot in this reply, did you set it resolved?

    So if I understood I can’t use your plug-in and the WC Core free shipping option togheter? but if I wanna use a conditional cities free shipping, must I remove the WC Core free shipping option from my shipping zone?

    Hi,

    There is a shipping debug option, it has been moved, my blog post mentions that.

    You can use the plugin + WC Core free shipping, you just can’t show 2 Advanced Free Shipping options at the same time.

    If you use the ‘ hide other rates when free is available’ setting it may hide rates you didn’t expect to be hidden, which is why I recommend not using it during testing.
