Hi – couple of quick queries.

    1. To get the plugin working correctly on multisite (i.e. a one off config in network settings, rather than for each blog) so we need to purchase the Pro version?

    2. Do we need to register with you to get standard functionality working?
Understandably our institution is cautious about sending details to a third party.

    Thanks,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

Please find the answers to the questions you posed.

    1. To get the plugin working correctly on multisite (i.e. a one off config in network settings, rather than for each blog) so we need to purchase the Pro version?

Answer: Yes, MultiSite is supported by our Premium Plan.

    2. Do we need to register with you to get standard functionality working?
Understandably our institution is cautious about sending details to a third party.

Answer: Registration is done to activate the premium license in the plugin. Regarding your institution cautious of sending the details to the third party, I think they are concerned whether Single Sign-On take place via miniOrange or not. So to make it clear, We do not store any SAML related information with us that could bother you. The plugin connects or talks to the Identity Provider (IDP) directly via SAML protocol, we do not come into the picture for Single Sign-On.

Thank you very much for the reply.
We’ve managed to get the plugin working on a single site so will probably be purchasing the multisite version shortly.

Can you direct me to any documentation on login hooks for your plugin as there will probably be some custom user meta we will to store upon login.
I.e. is there a filter or login hook which fires after successful login?

    Thanks,

    Alex

Yes, we use ‘wp_login’ action that is called after the user is successfully logged in. So, you can add your custom user meta functionality by adding the action called ‘wp-login’. This hook is used in our premium plugin only.
Also, if you are looking to store the data in the user_meta table of your database then this can be achieved using plugin’s custom attribute mapping feature which is also supported in the premium plugin only.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks,
    miniOrange Team
