Removing extract of deleted blog post from google search

Hi,

I am trying to stop an deleted blog post from appearing on google search. To explain briefly, the old post contained personal details which have since required removing. I completely deleted the blog post, but when searching for it in google, the picture, link and old extract appear as the top result.

I have also reported this to google, but think that it will be down to me as the administrator to fix at the back end of the website.

I must also mention that I am not well versed in wordpress or anything technical that goes beyond sending an email, so any replies will need to be very basic in order for me to follow them!
