Problems “Kadence Toolkit” Pluing with Text Editor Admin

  • Hello, I have installed the theme “Ascend” Free. everything is working normally.
    But I noticed that the “Kadence Toolkit” plugin is conflicting with the Text Editor in the Administrator. there is an error that appears on the editor screen that is

    Fatal error: Declaration of CMB2_Type_Textarea_Code :: render () must be compatible with CMB2_Type_Textarea :: render ($ args = Array) in / home / jimmypalhano / www / wp-content / themes / ascend / lib / classes / cmb / includes / types /CMB2_Type_Textarea_Code.php on line 13

    when you type something in the text editor nothing appears.

    When I disable this plugin the text editor returns to normal.

  • Hello,

    I’m not experiencing this on my test site. Do you have any other plugins that are running? It’s possible that there is a conflict elsewhere. Have you tried deactivating other plugins to see if the issue goes away when a different plugin is OFF?

    Also, what are your current version numbers for the theme and toolkit?

    Hello!! Yes, I already tried to undo all the plugins. in fact, there is no others plugins. but, but if I turn off Toolkit everything works again

    Hey, thanks for posting I was able to find this issue, it relates to php7.2 (7.0 and 7.1 are fine) I will have a theme update out in the next hour that will fix this.
