My customers complain of ads on my website and it only happened after installing this plugin. When I uninstalled it, the ads went away. If you’re going to include ads in your plugin, include it in the backend, don’t include it in the front-end to scare my customers away. Smh! This really annoyed me. I lost hundreds of customers because of this. I went on the front-end my self on a new device, a pop up came asking me if I was 18+ and every link I click on my website takes me to another unrelated ad site. This plugin sucks. It got fixed when I deactivated and removed this plugin.

This plugin absolutely doesn’t give you click ads. It sounds like your site might have got hacked or the problem is from another plugin. There are over 100,000 sites running this plugin.

@jhart1595 Unless you can demonstrate that in the plugin code, then all you’ve confirmed is that your sites were hacked.

The code is available to peruse here.

I’ve taken a quick look and do not see anything that could cause what you’ve mentioned.

I don’t think so. I’m sorry I sounded rude in the first comment, I wrote it while I was angry. Anyway, I thought it might be another plugin because I really liked your plugin. But I never experienced that and it only stopped after I deactivated the cookie consent plugin. After a while, I activated the plugin again and it started again. So I have deactivated and uninstalled it and I’m not experiencing anymore click ads.

    Alright.

Your site has clearly been hacked. I’ve checked the URL you sent via email and clicking more or less any link on the page will open clearly undesirable websites.

I note that you are not running the Cookie Consent plugin and that therefore these problems are not caused by this plugin.

I came back to delete my review but it seems you have already deleted it. That’s not right. But okay.
