Renaming Not Working – Generate bad files on the server

Now it seems works partially only for the images the problem is still on the PDF files…

Essentially your plugin is not able to rename proprerly the PDF jpg miniatures…

for example your plugin try to rename the file it-sh161-ir-intellisystem-pdf.jpg

to the it-sh161-ir-intellisystem.pdf but it cannot do that becuse it is the name file
of the pdf file it should rename it like the same name -> it-sh161-ir-intellisystem-pdf.jpg

In our website we have more than 1000 errors like that.

Second, due to the last version bug, our uploads folder is full of duplicate miniature
files name. When the plugin did a rename it did not erase the old name miniature so
for example we have this files duplicated. And we need to erase them manually but with thousend of files this is quite crazy… I think that you should try to scan and erase the old minitures automatically….

Now with your last update version when i upload a ned PDF file and i force the renaming it rename only the PDF file properly but do nothing to the relative miniatures and on the media page the button Auto-Rename is still present….

Please HELP!

I’m having this same issue with PDF files. I’m running on Pantheon and using version 4.0.1 of the plugin.

Upon renaming a PDF in the WordPress media dashboard, the filename text changes to the correct name, but the rename button remains. The url does not load, and the size is referenced as 4KB instead of ~90KB in the dashboard.

The pdf is correctly renamed on the server, but it is apparently corrupted. The miniature jpg versions of the pdf were not renamed.
