2.7.1 Upgrade Using Safari

I recently upgraded from 2.7 to 2.7.1 using Safari. The upgrade said it completed and everything looked fine. Suddenly my WP install became very unstable and WordPress (both website and Admin) would not display properly.

I checked all of my plugins and nothing was conflicting. Icons on the WP Admin were missing and then would suddenly reappear.

I downloaded WP 2.7 and reinstalled it. Everything seems to be fine. I certainly want to be up to date on the version, but I am concerned. Anyone else having any issues like this or any recommendations?
