    Hi There

Please can you help. Just incase you can help some how..I have the shop page on my website (in development mode it’s not live yet) set up with woocommerce carousels and image galleries, so effectively I have not used any of the actual Woocommerce main admin area settings until now where I want to (as well as having the carousels in place) I want to have 4 squared sections in 2 columns which are clickable where a user can view the products of each category on-click. I have the woocommerce main settings set as (shop set as the actual shop page), but I don’t want to select any of the products, categories, sub-category settings because I don’t like the way the categories display on the shop page (this is why I created carousels in the first place). (eg I only want 4 square category images clickable to be there, but I can’t do this; I wonder can I do this with the woocommerce advanced categories plugin in order to override the drop down menu choices that are there in the woocommerce settings? The continue shopping link on the cart page was diverting to the cart page which I didn’t want so instead I used the continue shopping plugin to direct to the shop page instead so now I have to designate teh shop page as the shop in the woocommerce settings otherwise the new continue shopping instruction via the plugin would not work. Sorry if this seems a little confusing. I sure could do with some help this so I can have the shop display the way I want it to. It’s hard for you to help fully without the link being given I understand that, but is there anyone who has enough experience to take me to resolving this partially or fully please?

    Best regards

..also, will using Woocommerce Advanced Caregories help with solving any part of this. How will a category plugin work with the main woocommerce plugin settings. The theme I am working with is the Jupiter theme. Thanks again, I hope you might be able to look at this and provide your thoughts. Best Regards

After reading through, I’m not quite sure what you’d like to do. What exactly do you want to happen?

At this point, I’m not sure, as I’m not sure what you’d like to do.

@fernashes I think this issue may be related to my issue with shop base page settings. It seems that shop base page overrides anything we might create on the actual shop page or custom shop page.

This person wants to avoid having to choose any of the shop base page settings…I wanted to know if I can avoid using shop base page all-together. The SHOP page generated by WooCommerce is an actual page I can go into under PAGE menu…I can add all the elements available under Visual Composer that I want this person added a carousel, I added Woocommerce products)..but the page won’t display any of it if I choose it as the shop base page. That has to to be a flaw, no?

It depends on how you look at it – most shops are satisfied to have the shop page be generated based on the different settings. Here’s a way around it, if that’s what you’d prefer:
