    Hi,

I’m using weDocs plugin + weDocs theme and I can’t make Search Inside works.

I know that weDocs provides a custom search widget, can it be the problem?

I can add shortcode inside a page but nothing happens, I also try with Show by pressing alphanumeric key.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi @nenesse,

There should be no problem with weDocs.

With “but nothing happens” do you mean that the search engine isn’t displayed or doesn’t perform the search?

    Regards!

    Hi,
If in plugin option I set “Add from shortcode” then I go to my article in Docs to add the shortcode [add-search-inside] at the top of my document. If I publish my article, the Search Inside searchbox does not appear on the published article. I can’t search for words.

If in the plugin option I set “Show by pressing alphanumerical key” then I go to my published article, no word is highlight if I type a word on my keyboard even if that word is present inside the article. No searchbox appears on the article.

I don’t really understand how to use your plugin. Is it really supposed to display a searchbox on my article? Does it use the default wordpress searchbox? How do you do on your video to make the searchbox fixed-top when you scroll down an article while performing a search in it?

    thanks for your help

Note that the searchbox will only be displayed if the ID specified in “HTML TAG ID WHERE TO SEARCH” exists in the source code. By default it is “main”, it probably doesn’t exist in your theme.

Try changing this to an existing ID in your theme.

Ok, now I understand better how HTML TAG ID works with your screenshot.

So, I modify the template to add an ID and now, I have the Search Inside bar on the top of my document and it’s fixed-top if I scrolled down, nice!

But it doesn’t search a word. My page is in french language with english words (technical documentation). If I type a word presents inside document, it doesn’t highlight that word even if it’s an english word.

What should I do now to make it works?

    thanks

    Cool ??

I’d have to check the site to see what’s going on.

Can you send me the site link?
