    Hi Community,

I am running my wordpresswebsite with the setup below.

    MAC BOOK
    MAMP 4.1.1
    PHP 7.1.1

    WordPress 4.9.2
    Child Ken Version: 3.4.1
    Ken Version: 4.1
WPBakery Page Builder (Modified Version) 5.4.5
    Wordfence Version 7.0.1

Since today all my sites suddenly show a fatal error message below the page content. (see screenshot: https://tinyimg.io/i/VjaZdrg.jpg)

    The error message says:

Fatal error: Uncaught wfWAFStorageFileException: Unable to verify temporary file contents for atomic writing. in /home/www/mywebsite/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/vendor/wordfence/wf-waf/src/lib/storage/file.php:46 Stack trace: #0 /home/www/mywebsite/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/vendor/wordfence/wf-waf/src/lib/storage/file.php(567): wfWAFStorageFile::atomicFilePutContents(‘/home/www/mywebsite…’, ‘<?php exit(‘Acc…’) #1 [internal function]: wfWAFStorageFile->saveConfig() #2 {main} thrown in /home/www/mywebsite/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/vendor/wordfence/wf-waf/src/lib/storage/file.php on line 46

I have no Idea what caused this issue but it seems wordfence related.
Please let me know if you are familiar with this problem and know what I could do to fix it.

I would loose about 3 days work If I would need to revert to my latest backup so I am hesitant to do so.

Also please tell me if you need any additional information to be able to assess the situation.

Thank you in advance for your time,
    best regards,
    Max

  • Hi @maxident,

This topic discusses the same issue; the solution suggested by my colleague seems to have fixed the problem.

Thats it, the solution in my case was also running out of space on my webhost without realising. Once I cleared some space all worked again. Thank you
