    Hi.
I’ve just installed your plugin and now investigating it.
    A have this issue.
Via importing process in [WP-All-Import + Woocommerce addon] I can’t see fields how to import all about supplier – Supplier, Supplier’s SKU.
Not in addon interface, i can understand it, but! not in custom fields too.
at the same time, i see custom field _purcase_price (not tested to write it yet).

You have any idea? how can I import it?

ALSO I have a question and proposal
Q: Locations – its not workin yet.

    1. Can I read anywhere what it will be in future?
    2. would it be multiple choice in each product & variations?
    3. will you provide process for a movement among it (time delayed!). here we again remember the import issue ??

P: in Stock Central it extremely lacks search/filter by all attributes (and location too) with editing possibilities.

    Hi dmzw,

Thank you very much for your post.

I am sorry you cant use WP ALL Import with ATUM. We do not plan to support any import 3rd part plugins as we are preparing our own. Full Import Export add-on will be release middle of 2018.

I will try to answer your questions below:
Q – Locations are working similarly to categories. Where do you see the problem?

    1. Full locations support will be part of one of our add-ons prepped for 2018.
    2. Yes, you will be able to track several different stock for one product.
    3. Yes, we will do that too.

P: Stock Central search field is very difficult to expand. It is taking too much processing power if we allow the search for all attributes. Large stores would crash as the servers would time out.
At the moment we do not plan to introduce new search capabilities.

    Hope this helps.

PS: ATUM is running on a very limited budget (my own pocket :-))so we will bring new features, however, it will take time. We ask our users to be patient, pls?

    Best Regards,

    Pavel

but how I can see custom field “_purcase_price”?
it’s your field? what is the difference between it and Supplier field? different sql tables or what?

Locations are working similarly to categories. Where do you see the problem?

I don’t understood yet – how to manipulate with it in frontend. filter? woocommerce widget? shortcode?
And as I see – it about all product. not about variations, cause it like categories.

It is taking too much processing power if we allow the search for all attributes. Large stores would crash as the servers would time out.

but we can filter by categories expanding list at the top? why not attributes the same way?
how to navigate among 1000s products in dashboard?
I think large stores have choice – to use it or not ?? or to buy more power ??
will it be more resource-intensive process than searching on Supplier?

PS. I understand that you have limited budget, but I think this is the way to fill your pocket in future, because it common things for all ??

    Thanks for you job.

    Hi, dmzw,

Thank you very much for your reply.

    – The _purchase_price was added to ATUM by us same as many others. This will maybe help https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Using_Custom_Fields

    – Locations are not for front end – it is an informational feature right now. Only to tell the user where is the stock located.

    – Not all attributes are the same in case of processing power. We have to develop a feature where users first choose the column they want to search within. We have to think here about 1000s of users, and a significant amount of them do not understand how things work on the back end and will believe that the plugin is broken. I will ask you to be patient as we are working on improving the search abilities within Stock Central.

    – hehe, filling a pocket in the future, you are right I am doing this from a business perspective, but for now, we are developing a free version that does not pay for itself so the development will be within time and money limits.

I hope you like ATUM the way it is right now and be as good and resourceful as you are now.

Users, like yourself, help a lot with their comments and suggestions.

    Best regards,

    Pavel

Hi, Pavel. Thank you for reply.

Have you any idea why I can’t see Supplier and Supplier SKU in list of custom fields at the same time?

    – Locations are not for front end – it is an informational feature right now. Only to tell the user where is the stock located.

Will it be later in front-end?
For example, location affects the time and price of delivery. And it’s great to have possibility to inform buyers or give them choice of location where to buy, especially if nearest location out of stock.

    Best regards.

    Hi dmzw,

To be honest I am not sure why you can only see the one meta in WP all import? I would like to help, but do not plan to support this 3rd party import plugin. As I mentioned before, we will do our won import/export add-on.

Yes, locations will be a massive one – it will be front end too.

    Hope this helps.

I came across this forum while doing some research on the ATUM. I have it installed in our dev environment and haven’t yet pushed it to production. I’m a heavy user of WP All Import and have been for the last couple of years as our site has multiple inventory feeds from different suppliers with over 10000+ sku’s and this plugin makes it quite simple to import, map and work with various types of feeds and customize your imports to work with complex data. Not to mention there support team is super helpful. The plugin Stock Management Labs is developing for importing and exporting, will it be as extensive as WP All Import and Export?

I just read that there won’t be any support for 3rd party plugins which if not, will your plugin do everything WP All import and export can do plus more?

I’m patiently waiting to see what your locations extensions looks like. I haven’t found the right solution just yet and that’s how I stumped upon ATUM.

To be honest, it’s a bit of a buzzkill that there won’t be support for 3rd party. Kind of tie users hands up. I’d suggest to support 3rd party and at the same time develop a plugin that would compete in that space and let users decide. That’s how I’d work to take marketshare.

    Hi thisisbolo,

Thank you very much for your post and suggestion.

Let me try to answer all your comments below.

    – I know WP All Import/Export very well as we have and am using it in my other sites. If our extensions go for the same set of features, I don’t really know. Do not think so as we do not work with the whole WP set of features.

    – Not supporting 3rd party plugins is a must for us right now as we would only be doing this for the next year. My team is only small and we have to concentrate on ATUM and not other solutions. To be completely honest, if we grow the way we are right now, it will be WP All Import who adds ATUM metas into their system as it is lot, lot easier. Maybe you can try and ask them?

    – I am glad you are waiting for the locations add-on and hope it will suit all your needs.

    – As mentioned above, supporting 3rd party plugins is not easy and even though it may seems a good thing to help, we have no capacity to do that. The only plugin we support right now is WPML and User Role Manager.

    Hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Pavel

    Hi Pavel,

Thank you for your response. I appreciate the level of detail. I’ve thought a bit about what you’ve said and it makes sense. The cross compliance would have to come from WP All Import and adding ATUM metas into their system. I still need to do a lot of discovery on ATUM but I’m sure a function could be written to help map.

For your locations add-on. Would their be ability to update inventory at locations through data feeds – csv, json, xml?

Looking forward to the release. Send me a party invite!

    Hi thisisbolo,

Thank you very much for your reply.

Yes, one day we get all the features in :-). Import features will come in the second half of the year I hope.

Please, do follow our FB, Youtube Channel or check the ATUM Dashboard every so often. I alway release a video about new features.

    Hope this helps.
