    Hello,

I just have a question, at the info on the plugin says it will block vpn and proxy users from login in and leaving comments. Does it also block proxy/vpn traffic in general. I just want proxy users to not be able to visit a certain page or complete website.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Jurko,

Firstly I need to apologize for not answering you sooner, I thought that if somebody would open a support thread for my plugin, I would get a email ping or something, this didn’t happen!

The plugin doesn’t block on all or specific pages right now, it is mostly designed to prevent registrations, logins and comments while using a Proxy and optionally VPN, but what you want shouldn’t be too difficult to implement, at least the blocking for the entire website thing, specific pages would be harder to do but it is something I will look into!

Again, Apologies for the slow response!

It would be really neat to have this implemented in this plugin. Please do look into it, and I’ll be considering getting a premium access even more (I was already planning to anyway since I certainly am going to need more than 1000 queries per day, but this still is a nice addition I would gladly pay for).

    Hi Akira!

You are in luck! I have been working on the latest plugin update in recent days, which I just published, you can now block access on all front end pages.

I will look into also adding an option to block on specific selected pages in the future, but that would be a lot more involved, I’m sure it’s possible but I will need to figure that out.

Brilliant, thank you! Regarding blocking specific pages however, I don’t think it makes sense in the context of being willing to block proxies and VPNs from accessing your website if you let them access other parts of it, which makes it way too specific for you to put much effort into. Personally I would wait until more people ask for it, but the plugin is yours so it’s up to you.

Thank you for your input, I think I will leave that for now, you are definitely right!

An option to block only on specific pages would be a godsend.

Are there any plans to develop it?

    Thank you

    Hi Lucas,

I am currently working on a new update for the plugin, I will look in to making your feature request a reality but I’m not sure if it will make it for this update as I need to research how best to do this. I do like your idea!

    Rick.

    Thank you for that.

The main use case I see for a feature like that would be to block proxies / vpns on checkout pages to prevent fraud on ecommerce sites.

    Hi there!
Does this plugin work well with any type of VPNs? The point is that different VPN services use different encryption protocols, and as far as I understood from different reviews, some of them can help third parties to access important data. Now, there are a lot of VPNs are available for everyone, so, whether this plugin copes well with all of them? Thanks in advance.

    Hi itdabhand,

Apologies for the slow response, I am currently traveling!

The plugin will work with all types of VPNs and Proxies detected by proxycheck.io API, this is not something that is plugin specific, so long as proxycheck.io has a record of the “bad” IP Addresses then it will send a positive detection response for the IP we checked and then the plugin can make actions on that.

    Rick.
