    Hi,
I have a problem with the image quality when I insert a photo in small size or with photo gallery (for example 3 in a line). The quality is very bad. How could I fix it? If I insert it whole size, it has good quality.

    Another question:
How could I change the title ‘Filed Under’ under my posts?

    Thanks you for your help!

  • Hi @crealexiadiy.

    Thank you for contacting us.

Could you please post URL of your website so that I could take a look?

Also, what’s the resolution of photos you’re using for the photo gallery?

Regarding that text, if you want to change it (or translate it) the best way is to use Loco Translate plugin

Hope this helps. Awaiting your response.

    Kind regards.

the post is: HENNAFESTéS LéPéSR?L LéPéSRE and the photo gallery is on the bottom.

Also, another image problem that I cannot understand. In the front page/ recent posts there is one post (áFONYáS-BANáNOS MUFFIN) where the image is bigger than the others. Why…? I cannot change the size of it and in the other posts the system cut automatically the photos.

    Thanks!!

    Thank you.

The image quality in that gallery is bad because the images are too small – 150px × 150px and then those get scaled up to 269px × 269px. You need to use images of at least 269 x 269px or a bit bigger. Quality will be good then.

That other image is bigger than the rest because it is 480x400px while the others are 760x400px. Use the image of the same size as the rest and it will be scaled properly.

    I hope that this helps.

Thank you, I resolved it changing the size of the image.

Could you recommend me what is the perfect size (px) of the images for Kale Theme? So in which size should I upload my photos?

And then is it ok that I reduce the quality to 80-100kb? It is a tutorial site so I don’t need the highest quality.
    Thanks!

Glad to hear that you have it resolved. ??

Regarding “perfect size”, Kale demo uses 1.200px × 800px (3:2 aspect ratio) images for the featured image, and everything else is derived from that size. You can, more or less, follow that size and get everything everywhere cropped properly.

It is perfectly OK to reduce image quality if you don’t need the highest one. You could also try PNG format instead of JPG, it usually produces smaller images if you don’t need more than 256 colours. Give it a try.

    Kind regards.
