• Hi

When I upload an image wordpress creates additional images of the same image for thumbnails, medium, full size etc.

I have created a gallery and if I edit say the medium image, wordpress still uses the orginal image it created when I have uploaded. I have searched the directory structure and there is only one location of the image and it is the edited version. However wordpress does not seem to recognise this.

I’m not sure how to refresh this within wordpress.

My site is local and I’m using the Fifteen theme with the easy-fancybox plugin.

    Cheers

  • My question is why are you editing the medium version of the image? All the other versions are for WordPress’s use, not yours. What is your end goal here?

Sorry for the delay in replying, the thumbnail version is too small and it crops the portrait version of the image so you don’t get to see the whole image.

However, when I refreshed the cache it updated the image, so all good.

    Thanks
