    Hello

I am making a vendor site with an extra wiki part. Now I
have a separate section for my wiki pages that I created using
yada wiki. My question is how do I implement a search box so
people can find articles? And how do I limit this so it only
searches the wiki part of my site and not the vendor part?

Thanks and have a nice day!

    Hi onetruekill,

The plugin “Custom Post Type Widgets” here in the WP.org plugin directly has a widget for searching custom post types. I tried it out and it worked as expected. It was simple to setup and use.

If you only wanted to show the search box in the sidebar for wiki pages then you could use the plugin “Widget Logic” to set that up. It is also in the WP.org plugin directory. I use it on my website. It is a bit more complex to setup but works well.

The other option will involve some coding. This discussion has a few options. I’ve not tried them, but have seen the article referred to in other places:

Please let me know if this gets you what you need.

    Best regards,

    David
