    Hey Jeff,

    Won’t this eventually slow down a site by having a long list of blocked ips? My security software (Shield Security) specifically warns against using permanent blacklists for this very reason.

    Great question, and the answer is “no”. Banhammer is designed differently, with a strong focus on performance. It does most of its “heavy lifting” while you (the admin) are viewing results in the Admin Area. That enables Banhammer to remain super lightweight when checking all of your site’s pages. So unless you’re planning on banning hundreds of thousands of IPs or WP users, Banhammer will keep your site as fast as possible. And even then probably not even a noticeable difference.     That’s great to hear! Love the plugin video, and the plugin itself looks awesome!

    Do you plan on leaving Banhammer requiring manual bans, or perhaps introducing some kind of automatic banning based on bad behavior?
