Exact URL clarification

I am doing a simple migration of a test website from https://www.new.example.com to the main domain at https://www.example.com. The first time I tried this I used the wrong URLs for search and replace and had to restore the WordPress database. I believe I just used the above URLs without http, because I was getting things like www.https://www.example.com. I still need to update the links, but I’m a little leery now. To confirm, the exact URLs I should use are
“https://www.new.example.com”
AND
“https://www.example.com”
