I am using Event Calendar (free version) Plugin, I have checked all the options and added the Google Map API, but the google map is not showing in the event page, it was showing previously and not it stops showing and not sure what went wrong. I’m a basic user and no simple help was proposed. Complicated sortout not for my level. So I guess I’ll stop with this plugin.

I’m really sorry to hear that, @dan1952iel.

Maps “just work” for most of our users, but in those cases where they do not it can certainly be the case that we ask users to perform some extra troubleshooting steps that wouldn’t normally be required, so we can start to figure out what’s going wrong.

I’d love to review the actual support exchange you participated in to learn where we might do better (but on viewing your www.ads-software.com profile I couldn’t identify any support topics you created for this problem). Could you point me in the right direction?

Thank you for the feedback ??

I was angry to see the effort needed to solve my problem. WP is designed for a wide range of blog designer. I am one of those with the least amount of technical experience. Yet my site is running well, and I have not had a problem so far. To solve my problem, I followed the procedures and tips. It took me a lot of time and I destabilized my site (probably by bad handling). The Event Calendar is the solution that I appreciate and recommend. So I restore the backup from the day before. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin. And now everything is back in order. I lost some data, but I was able to re-enter it. I apologize for being exited but the pressure of my users was strong. Sorry for that.

That’s quite OK, I entirely understand how pressurized these things can be.

May I ask you to consider revising your rating, though? 1 star is a very low review and seems a tad unfair for a plugin that you continue to recommend and where – if I’m understanding correctly – this in fact turned out to be a conflict or configuration issue.

Regardless, we’re open to your thoughts on how we could do better in the future and that is also why I was keen to review the post where you asked for help: I’m not completely clear if you did ask us directly, or just reviewed a previous thread by a different customer, but if there are opportunities for us to learn from your experience here we’d love to do just that ??

The notation has been adjusted according to the latest events. Regarding the reason for the malfunction I unfortunately have no trace because I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin. That said, I think the issue will be replicable with the upcoming WP updates. I will keep you informed as necessary. All the best. Dan
