    Hey Guys,

    Anyone can help me please?

I just started to run a woocommerce shop on my site and I have problem with the product thumbnails.
If you check the site all the size are different and I don’t know how to fix.

I already setup the maximum high but the product images are still bigger. I tried to use regenerate thumbnails plugin but didn’t help to me. ??

Basically I just want all the product image for example 300×300 without cropping.

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Appearance > Customiser > WooCommerce > Product Images.

Setting 1:1 aspect ratio there should solve it.

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately didn’t solve the problem since the 1:1 can be only cropped. (Images will be cropped into a square)

I left the site now on 1:1. could you please check it and you will see what I mean.

I already spoke with my theme support but they told me this is from woocommerce side ??

A_G_Owen this is a new “feature” of Woocommerce since version 3.3. For me it lead to dramatically big issues.

I “fixed” it for the moment by stepping back to version 2.6.0, there you can define also maximum heights for uncropped thumbnails.

After spending more hours on it, I have to provide an update:

What worked perfectly for me in the past was the plugin “simple image sizes”. I so got used to it, that I saw its functionality as WP-core, but it is not. It was this plugin, that took care of creating uncropped thumbnails fitting into a defined height/width frame.

Since WC 3.3. this plugin does not work for all shop images anymore. As result all of them are created with maximum height, matching to the defined width given in WC.

I will contact the plugin developers, but not sure if there is much that they can do about it, when WC is simply (accidentally) overriding their functionality.

If they cannot fix it, and WC does not support in enabling this external plugin-support again, I have really no idea what to do – beside staying with 2.6.0 forever.

    Hi Klaus69!

Fist of all sorry for my late answer I was not next to internet connection. Second thanks for your answer. I wouldn’t like to downgrade my shop so I already contacted them on an other site and I got this answer:

“As for your problem, my advice is to wait a little bit, until the next release, because will contain fixes for some of the problems. Is a matter of days. After that, if you will stil have the problem contact your theme author, or just wait a litle bit more to give them time to adapt the theme to the new woocommerce release.”

So I will contact my theme author(again) and let’s see what will happen. ??
