• Since the last Wp update (4.9.2) users cannot pin images from the site.

The error message is “Oops this site doesn’t allow saving pins”

I did see an old – unresolved – thread about this problem. Has there been any fixes to this problem

    Thanks,

  • Possibly because you have this code on your page:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js"></script><br />
<!-- Please call pinit.js only once per page --><br />
    <script type="text/javascript" async data-pin-hover="true" src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js"></script>

You are calling that script twice, and it is only supposed to be called once. How are you adding that script to your site?

(Also: cool site. I will have to try the Dry-Rub Campfire Grilled Chicken Breast. Looks tasty!)

Thanks for the response kjodie, and for the site compliment. I will check pages for that double code.

But… Is this a guess, or a known problem. I don’t think I have that “doubled” code snippit on every page.

I think I have fixed the duplicate pinterest pin code on the pages, but I don’t think that is a problem. Still cannot pin images from my site.

It also seems like this problem arose after a wordpress update, but since it has been a while since I tried to pin – I can’t be sure.

I have no expertise in this area, but logic seems to say it is a wordpress setting problem since the error message is that the site does NOT ALLOW pins.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Gus
