    Hello,

I need to upload an Excel file with the following format : 99,90€
My client uses the custom format to make that happen (when I click on the cell, it shows 99.9 instead of 99,90€ but when I’m not updating the cell, 99,90€ shows).

It somehow appears that when I upload the file, it returns 99.9 instead of 99.90€ even though I need it to show 99.90€.

Can you please help me solve this ?
    Thanks

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Here, I recommend to save the table to a CSV file in Excel and then import that into TablePress.
CSV files work better when it comes to data formats.

    Hello,
    Thanks for your answer.

I usually go with CSV when I have something like this to do, but when I tried the CSV, all my accents where not importing correctly. (é, è for example were NOT importing, So Téléphone became Tlphone – And € became ?) so I don’t know how to resolve this then ?

    Hi Marie,

that’s strange. Are these accents showing correcly when opening the CSV file in a normal text editor? If not (which I assume), there’s nothing really that TablePress can do here, as the problem is then with application that created the CSV file.

    Tobias

Hello, thanks for your answer. I had a problem with my export, but not anymore and while the accents are now showing, the € is not, which is a problem.

One of my csv file line is :
    Carte de 5 heures*;49,50 € ;;
and when it’s imported it shows 49,50.

Do you know what might cause this ?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

that’s a bit strange. This indicates that something in the toolchain is not using UTF-8 as the character set.
Does your text editor maybe allow saving the file with UTF-8 character encoding?

    Regards,
    Tobias
