How to increase loading speed?

  • I am getting ready to launch rateaPartner.com. The only problem is that it is taking almost 25 seconds to load the first page. I can’t figure out why it is suddenly so slow. A few days ago it took about 5 seconds. I use about 6 plugins including the super cache plugin. But nothing with a lot of javascript. Plus I don’t have many images on my site. It is mostly text. Are website that use the wordpress platform typically this slow? Any tips on how to speed things up/optimize performance would be greatly appreciated by myself as well as others who have voiced similar concerns.

    I have checked your site from my network as well as online site load checking URLs and your site is taking near to 9-10 seconds which is normal according to your website contents…

    It may be possible that you are facing load issue due to network/connection slow access problem..please check your blog from another network.

    However, you can speed up your blog by removing unwanted plugins and themez….optimising the database etc..,

    very very slow indeed. test a clean wordpress install, if its still slow then the problem is your server/hoster.
