    Hi,
I am trying to post to your https://www.storelocatorplus.com/ forums as instructed in the this forum support guide.

When I try to log in, the page refreshes but the bottom of the forum list always says “you need to be logged in to post new replies.”

So I can’t post there, and I don’t know why. I don’t see any error message when trying to log in.

I have found a serious bug that needs fixing, and a resolution to our problem.

Recently we went to our list of locations in the back and and selected ONE location to delete. When clicking “bulk actions” and then “apply” the wording of “apply to all” looks like one button. If you click “to all” it deletes ALL locations – not just the ONE that we have selected for this action. No other locations are selected when pressing this, and it still deletes everything.

Now we have lost 56 locations. We need them back.

We have a backup of our site where we tested this with the latest version of your plugin and WP.

We can see the locations in the PHP My Admin area of our backup site.

But we don’t see a way to “export” – we can only see an “import” option in the WP Dashboard.

Can you please tell us how to fix this asap?

    Thank you

Sorry that you are having issues logging into the forums. I just tested the login to forum incognito and was asked to log into my account. Once I logged in it went straight to the forum. I could not replicate your issue. Make sure you are logging in using your SLP account username and password info or set up/register as a new account via the purchase “free forum registration” if you do not already have an account

As far as your bulk actions issues, support answered your questions via email. The bulk actions filter, delete permanently, apply to all . When delete permanently is checked a message box appears asking if you want to delete permanently. This gives you a chance to cancel the action before moving forward.

If you did this on a staging site then we assume you still have the locations in your production site?
You show you have SLP version 4.9.8 but do not have any add-ons. You need to have the Power add-on to inmport/export. Please visit the site documentation or Products page for more info. Any questions regarding the add-ons will be answered in the SLP forums.

The “To All” button is a feature a Premier customer paid for. They have 50,000+ locations and cannot possibly check 50,000 boxes. The “select all” checkbox does not work as WordPress limits the longest table list to 999 locations — and that breaks most browsers.

Instead they came up with a design for a “To All” button that applies to all locations. We added that and a user-confirmation to ensure someone has to confirm a delete before deleting all locations.

The design may not be what you prefer, but it is one that someone deemed important enough to their operation to pay for the interface change. We did our best to incorporate their request without breaking prior functionality. Clicking “Apply” instead of “To All” would work exactly as you said.

If you can come up with a great UX design that allows someone to apply any one of 20 operations to selected rows or “every row in the entire data set” please share. In the meantime we’ve put this on our dev schedule to re-visit the experience. We’re always looking for ways to improve the UX.
