I have been using this plugin for many years, but on a recent upgrade, it started breaking functionality including uploading images and my other plugin subscribe2. Deactivating this plugin let subscribe2 start working again, and also allowed me to upload images.
I would conclude that it is no longer maintained, as others have done.

This plugin appears to have been abandoned. The site is listed by Google search as being hacked. The support site doesn’t work. And the plugin will not work on sites that are secure, it gives a mixed-content error.

It’s not really free, as it’s tied in with a sign-up at linksalpha, a page with a really bad user interface, and later you’re told that the stats are only a 30-day free trial, after which you have to buy a subscription.
It also has very invasive privacy settings when you link to your personal Facebook account (eg it wants access to all posts and links of pages you manage! I manage several clients’ pages, so that’s a no no.). But you cannot link it to the relevant Facebook Page of the social sharing account.
Hence this plugin lasted all but 5 minutes!

After I installed this I couldn’t connect to my site AT ALL. Got “cannot establish connection with database” error message. Couldn’t even go uninstall it b/c couldn’t access admin either. Thankfully, deleting the plugin via FTP restored my site. Phew! Scary. :/

Plugins from this developer are known to have security issues. Beware of trackers.

Update: Seems to be completely messed now with the last WP update?
Until the last update this plugin seemed to be just fine. When the last update was applied it has blocked the Twitter count from showing the number of tweets. Will have to try an alternative. I often wonder how much testing is done before updates are released.
