Hey Lasse,
What happened to this plugin?!?!? Why was it removed? I seemed to work great…although I only tested it for a short amount of time. I was planning on using it on a new project I have coming up and it’s gone from www.ads-software.com….which makes me a little worried.
Was there some problem with the plugin or something?

Or do I have to use whether they click links (and does this only measure to External sites, or Internal clicks too)?
Also, thanks for making this plugin! SES Theme Split Test seems to be too far outdated to risk using.

Strange, because I’ve used the plugin before and it’s great, but now I’m trying to use it to try different ad unit variations and it will only show 1 (even in debug- it won’t switch between them).
It’s a content experiment with content along the lines of etc.
Any thoughts?
]]>Hi,
I love the plugin but I have a question. I use ses theme splittest plugin for testing theme since I can make advanced segments inside google analytics so I can see my revenue improvement on each theme.
Can’t you add this inside your ab test plugin. If you would do this I will throw away ses theme splittest since I love yours way more. It’s amazing, the plugin you have build.
Please let me know since this would seriously be an increasement in the test scene :).

Hi,
I just installed this plug-in on 3.4 and got an experiment up and running. I got the one visit to “Variation 2” and that’s it. Even trying to test conversions did not work. I tried in private browsing mode as well as other people in the same office.
Debug mode worked great, to show my Variations were working as expected.
Am I doing something wrong? Or is there something I am missing.
Steps I did:
1. Setup 2 experiments, each with 2 variations
2. Placed the PHP code in my template file for both experiments
3. Visited the site once and saw the number for Variation 2 go up by 1
4. Turned on debug mode
5. Refreshed multiple times to see the variations change between 1 and 2
6. Turned off debug mode
7. Tried private browsing multiple times to get the number to now increase, which it did not — still stuck at 1 for Variation 2
8. Asked a colleague in the same office to try — no luck getting the number to increase
Thanks!!
Dion
]]>If I want to test placing an object, for example, at the beginning of a post vs. at the middle of my post, I can’t do that currently. The current version gives you one code to place in one position and then switches which of your options shows up in that position.
It would be great if you included a way to run an experiment where each option is given a separate code and you can place them in different places on the page and it will only show one or the other randomly to test them.
]]>Like it says, it would be nice if the plugin allowed you to rest the stats to 0. This way if you did a test or two outside debug mode, you could still start from scratch. I guess you could just filter out your ip. But it would just be easier possibly.
]]>I’m using the A/B Test for WordPress plugin. I tried adding a content variation with a shortcode in it, and the a/b plugin showed the square brackets for the short code and did not interpret it properly. I love this plugin, but it would be much better if it would support short codes.
]]>Overall am loving this plugin!
I have been running a test and am noticing that the numbers of views on each variation are wildly different – one of them has been shown 3000+ times, the other only 400+ times. I was expecting those numbers to be more similar to each other.
Is this normal behavior? Or what are the factors that would influence when one variation is shown over the other and why it might skew this way?
Many thanks!
Just a thought,
it would be cool feature to control what content the user can see depending on the traffic source. For example if the user coming from google search they would view different content than a user coming from facebook
I’ve got the variations setup and verified they are actually working, but the stats aren’t updating on the backend.
Any thoughts?
Allan
