Hi, I faced an issue, a fatal error while I was upgrading one of my website to latest PHP version. Everything working fine on PHP 7.4 but on PHP 8+ it is giving me this error:
[26-Sep-2024 10:00:21 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot access offset of type string on string in \app\public\wp-content\plugins\accessibility-light\includes\class-toolbar.php:216
After digging in to this, It looks like on the settings page, under Toolbar section, toolbar side is by default Right Side, this value is not getting in that class I believe, So when I change the Side and save the settings the error goes.
So once we change this Tooldbar Side settings and save, error will be fixed.

The Accessibility Bar menu with the icons is creating Known Problems in Accessibility Review of the WCAG 2.0 (Level AA) checker
I think you must fix this as it supposed that you are working for the Accessibility.
Below is the code with the issues:

Hi
I did all translations with Loco translate except the Toolbar Heading that says “Accessibility Bar”.
Any help on that?
Thank you.
]]>Hey guys, first if you should see 2 posts for this it’s because something went haywire with my original post so I am re-creating it now.
I tried deactivating all plugins then activating only Generate Press and Generate Blocks to see if it was an issue with the GP theme but the problem was still there and was told by their support:
Hmm the icon is coming from a plugin called Accessibility Light so I can’t see how this would be a GP issue.
The icon shows when I use Chrome device simulator and no code suggested it should be hidden on mobile:
https://www.screencast.com/t/xij8kScS
You will need to check with the plugin’s support team in this case.
I notice when I disable all Plugins then activate all plugins, the icon shows again but only on the desktop, not on mobile. I tried reinstalling the plugin but does not help, any ideas please?
]]>Hi,
I see someone else asked this same question 3 years ago and it wasn’t answered. I assume, since there’s no option for this since I don’t see it, but it’d be great for people to be able to X out of this if they don’t want to see it. Is there a way or maybe an update to solve this?
Thanks!

]]>Not Supported With Latest WP Version
]]>Hi,
Basically, the plugin works fine, I didn’t check all of its functions but it seems to do the work.
Recently I’ve noticed this line on the Apache error logs:
PHP Warning: Trying to access array offset on value of type bool in C:\\xampp\\htdocs\\atikot\\wp-content\\plugins\\accessibility-light\\includes\\class-toolbar.php on line 216
It seems to be related to the Accessibility-Light Plugin.
Do you know what that error means?
Regards,
Ishai
Hi I’m new to accessibility and WordPress. I found your plugin and it seems to solve a few problems for me. However I am stumped by one thing the plugin does not do and IMHO should do. However, it could be other website issues as there are some other minor tabbing issues on other pages. The problem is the plugin seems to be excluded from the tab order. So no keyboard access. Is this correct or is something else wrong I/website are doing?
Its not a widget so I don’t know how to style it to change the tab order. Thanks.
]]>Please add an option to change Plugin Font / disable font from admin panel.
It’s very important to optimization since your plugin loads 55KB of font file.
Please allow administrator to select the font / disable plugin’s font.
]]>I just notice the the icon image, positioned in the bottom right corner, is not displaying unless I am logged in. If I am not logged in, the background appears, as do a symbol representing an image that hasn’t opened and the words “accessibility icon”. Is there a simple solution?
Thanks.
]]>Great plugin, but not sure how to exclude some element from font resize?
I have tryed to add #primary-menu to “Exclude additional elements from the effect of the font size modifier” input, but not work.
thanks
Greetings,
After install I noticed with the help of my hosting provider that in my error log I am getting the following error.
[05-Oct-2020 15:12:09 UTC] PHP Warning: Illegal string offset ‘toolbar_side’ in /home4/jamesacp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/accessibility-light/includes/class-toolbar.php on line 215
I attempted to uninstall and reinstall, but it did not fix the error. I have requested a callback to discuess this very issue from Accessibility Lite official website. https://sitelinx.co.il/. Any assistance anyone can provide is greatly appreciated
]]>Hi,
I love this plugin and I am using it on my blog https://www.dipaola.me
I contributed to the Italian translation suggesting almost all the text string –
I was wondering how to include a feature to specify a different font for the Readable Font option – I was thinking about Open Dyslexic font for instance ( https://opendyslexic.org/ ).
]]>The plugin is very easy, and I like it. BUT I want users who don’t need it to have the option to HIDE it. Is that available and I just missed it? If not, I STRONGLY suggest it be added in the next update.
