Stable and fast. It’s very nice in that regard. A bonus: Multisite supported!

Drawbacks:

1. Does not appear to be getting the caching treatment (at least when i checked via w3tc that is), and is real-time updated on posts/comments. For large and very active installations, this could very well be a CPU resource hog on page renders. (For my use case, this is what I was looking for)
2. Does not appear to be a method to make an acronym multisite. Each multisite gets its own set of acronyms. Would be nice to have a checkbox to force an acronym as multisite.

This plugin needs some love. Such a hidden gem.

None of my SEO plugins have this feature, but now I can add this into sites that use a lot of acronyms. The next step is to add an export/import option.

I tried the other guy’s plugin and it’s good, but this one is much more powerful.

This makes any phrase (such as POS) into a non-clickable link with a tooltip (such as “Point-of-sale”), automatically. Enter each Acronym in the same way as a post category or tag.
(I did delete the sample Acronyms)
No need to alter the page or post.

Great little plugin, low resource usage and save having to type out or explain certain Acronyms every time you write a page or post.
