Hello! I used your parallax plugin in a post on our website, and I was told by a few Mac users that the parallax images are not showing up on their laptops (I made the post on a PC and it’s showing up fine) – is there a way to fix this? Also, they are not showing up at all on mobile phones.
Hi, I have a problem with your plugin, it is perfectly working on desktop and mobile, but on tablet the background image is stretched and not responsive, and the parallax effect is not working. Can you help me?
Thanks for this plugin! Here’s a suggestion: once the parallax item is published, it would be nice of you displayed the shortcode right there on the “Edit Parallax” screen. As it stands, after you publish you then need to go back to the list of all Parallax Scroll items to retrieve the shortcode.
Just a minor thing but it would be a helpful feature. Thanks again!
Hi,
In the thread below, you mentioned a new version that would fix this problem and was supposed to have been released by now.
@adamrob “the next version 3.1.0 which will be released early next week at the latest.”
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/images-no-longer-full-width-w-5-0-upgrade/
Will this version be released soon, or has the plugin been abandoned?
Thanks for your insight on this.
Rick
Hello Adam,
I’ve been using your plugin for a while, and all was very good, until C after some update, I believe C something went wrong with the mobile visualization: instead of the resized parallax image, I got a distorted one, as you can see opening my website on a phone.
Could you please help me fix this issue? It is very important to me.
Thanks a lot
Thanks for making this plugin available! I’d like to make a request which I hope you might consider in the future.
It would be great for SEO and semantic markup if the .adamrob_parallax_posttitle element were not a div element but rather a heading tag. Perhaps:

That part seems pretty obvious and straight-forward. That element is clearly a title, and carries some significance. It should be a heading.
Carrying this idea further, it would be great to have the option to wrap the text in the .adamrob_parallax_posttitle in a link (
) tag. (That would be more difficult, I know.)
One more request: it would be great if there were an option to display the “content” of the parallax section below the image with the scrolling background, instead of within the scrolling background area, but still within the
element.
Often we use a parallax background image behind the heading of a section, and then display the text of that section below the image. We then stack these sections running down the page. In order to get that effect with this plugin, we need to alternate your “sections” containing the “heading” only, with other divs or sections containing the text which the “heading” relates to. In terms of semantic markup, that is a mess.
Here is how that option should be structured, IMHO:

Title of the section with a scrolling image background behind the title text

Content of the section, displayed below the image.

To achieve that now using your plugin I must have this, much more confusing, structure:

Title of the section with a scrolling image background behind the title text

Content that should be part of the preceeding section but isn't, semantically speaking. Visually it is text displayed below the "heading" image.

What do you think of these ideas?
Hi. Our theme is a “boxed” theme: the content area has a comfortable max-width, and if the window is wider, there is a background image on the body element that shows on the sides.
When I use a Parallax Scroll section, the scroll background image is stretched to the full width of the window, meaning that it is stretched unnecessarily on a very wide screen, and much of the far sides are cut off. It also means that I need to use a background image for the scrolling section that is as wide as the page window might be, necessitating a much larger file size, or else it looks pixelated on those very wide screens.
Is there anything that I can do in my CSS file to restrict the scrolling background images to the “boxed” width, rather than the full window width?
I am having a problem getting the content that appears below the parallax to not scroll behind it as I scroll down. I have had to use full width option and it has worked except for this glitch. Any help appreciated.
Happens on Chrome and Firefox. Windows 10.
Hi Adam,
This plugin was working beautifully, then all of a sudden it starting breaking each page. I’ve downgraded WordPress from 5.1.1 to 5.1 hoping that would fix the issue. It did not. There are no plugin conflicts and the affected areas of each page load properly when the parallax plugin is deactivated. Links to other affected pages are:
https://carterandspence.com/men/
https://carterandspence.com/home/
Does the plugin need updating?
Thanks,
Tim
The link that was assigned to the SHOP button on the parallax doesn’t work anymore. Since the upgrade in WordPress its been quirky. I had to add 500px of blank space so that elements below the parallax would stop overlapping it. WPBakery clearly shows the parallax separated from elements below it, but on the screen they overlap it. so i added the blank space element 500px wide vertically. Also the link is un-clickable even though it is showing set up on the background. How to fix this??
I update the word press to Version 5.1 and I get the error “The plugin adamrob-parallax-scroll/adamrob-parallax_scroll.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.”
Hi,
I recently updated WP to 5.0 and also updated the parallax app. Unfortunately I can no longer get the images to show full width (to the edge of the page.) Under the previous versions, I had checked the “display Full width” box under the parralax scroll options. But, under 5.0 it breaks the page. Currently the page is running with the box unchecked. I am using the Tracks Theme (By Complete Themes).
Thanks,

Why?
I have added 5 shortcodes parallax-scroll in https://www.tmibuilder.gr and as you can see the first parallax-scroll id repeat the image.
Other 4 images are displayed normally as I was expected.
The settings of this id’s are the same.
Why does this happen?
I had to roll back to a previous version, version 3.0 broke some css on my site.
Basically a search box was floating over the parallax, 3.0 broke that and caused the search box to move to the top of the screen in all screen sizes and layouts.
Just for information, there may be some debugging for the update.
Hi there,
First of all, thanks for your great plugin. It used to work exactly as it should, but now it doesn’t anymore. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you exactly when it stopped working as I updated a lot of stuff all at once. It does still work in Win10’s Edge Browser, but not in Chrome.
Parallax scroll displays fine in Safari and Firefox, but not Chrome. Please advise. Thanks.
Hello.
I need help. I have parallax scroll on clients homepage and in Firefox, Opera and Edge it works correctly. But not in chrome (see on alldeck.com). I tried use different versions of plugin and also tried to downgrade wordpress back to 4.9.6 (I know it worked on this version) but nothing seems to work. Am I doing something wrong or is it a general problem with Chrome?
(Sorry for my english, it’s not my native language)
Thanks for help.
Hi,
i’m writing because when i create a new parallax, i don’t see the featured image box to set my background.
I looked everywhere in the page.. Maybe there is an option to turn on or something else..
Thank you in anticipation

Hi,
The the Parallax Scroll menu item dissapeared form my WP dashboard.
I tried to navigatie to /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=parallax_scroll but got a message that ‘I need a higher level of permission. Sorry, you are not allowed to edit posts in this post type.’ (I’m administrator).
Any idea how to resolve this?
thanks!
D
EDIT: Resolved it just by refreshing ‘User Role Editor’ plugin page.

The background parallax effect seems “shaky” and “jittery” for the first image that is displayed. Any workarounds?
My site is downgraded because any image used in a Parallax Scroll includes a ? in the URL query string of images included in the scroll. I have been told to remove the ? but it seems to be a artifact of the plugin. How do I remove the question mark?

Hi,
I am using parallax version 2.0
I admin using the parallax inside a widget.
It is loading the background image and my text in the foreground appears as I wish, only the backgound doesn’t scroll with the page, whatever speed (from 1 to 10) I set.
I thought maybe someone has experience this issue too and could give me some hint about what to do.
The background image I am using is 1920 1280, yet, I have set the sizes on auto (0 for height and 0 for size of image) in the parallax settings.
Thanks for help.

Hi,
I bought a premium theme from TemplateMonster where they use your background scrolling effect plugin.
Your plugin ask for the name of the image I want to put in the background like this:
But it seems to take the absolute url to find the image which cause a problem with my SSL certificat.
Is there a way to change how the plugin gets the image’a url. I need it to be something like: “/wp-content/blabla/blabla/blabla.jpg”.
Thanks
I have three parallax scroll effects on this page of my website
https://thesurfcontinuum.com/curriculum/
All the settings for each parallax are the same, but the first photo (primary level) doesnt resize nicely to fit the entire image, compared with the second two images (secondary and graduate sections), the entire image is fit into the parallax view.
Is it the dimensions of the original photo thats messing it up ? I don’t understand why the second two photos look so good, and I can see the whole photo, where as the first photo is getting cropped.
Hi, is it possible to make the entire parallax scroll clickable and give non-dev users the ability to change the target link?
I know I could add a js click event listener but I’d like for the user to be able to set the link and treat the parallax scroll as a big button.
Thanks!
