I saw “categories” show up briefly in the sidebar while editing a page, but then it went away. I was unable to get it back. Another similar plug-in did work for me.
Also, plug-in assumes that all plug-ins are in folders. They don’t have to be and mine crashed the plug-in (simple code work-around).

We have a site that has over 60 pages and covers at least 8 categories. We were going crazy trying to find pages until I finally found this one. It works simply, does exactly what you want it to and made managing this hydra we have much easier. Well done.

I use the free Elementor Page Builder and this plug-in makes it so easy to add categories to pages.
Highly recommend this.

The 1.0 version of this plugin works well for me. It’s simple and effective. I love being able to attach categories to pages, or posts. Other people have complained that a page category is in the same context as a post category of the same name, but personally I think this is great. If you want your page categories to be different than post categories, then just name them differently. Otherwise, the ability to have them the same is a bonus. You can look at a category listing and it gives you everything, whether they are pages or posts.
The 1.1 version of the plugin, in order to avoid interfering with other plugins, basically disabled this plugin’s functionality on the main site for any admin user. This was a bad “fix” to make, especially without telling anyone in the readme or change log. It is basically purposefully breaking the way the site looks to the admin user. -1 star for this poor update that I had to undo.

This was the only plugin I found to create categories for pages. It’s working fine.

I use the Parallax Pro theme by Generate Press and the home section page is not showing up any more. I have tested and can confirm it is due to the update of this plug-in.
I have been waiting for an update/fix but nothing seems to be happening really. But considering that the changelog for v1.1 sais: “Fixed the issue Break other plugins wp-query” I imagine this is plug-in is not going to get better, only worse fixing issue and creating a new one?
Really hope to get an answer soon, does anyone know of a suitable alternative for this plug-in?

The taxonomy use is the same in post, so if i add a new tax to post is added to to pages taxonomy. It’s suppouse to be 2 differents things each post_type (post, page or CP) must have its own taxonomy.

This plugin overcomes the limitation of pages which now can be used the same way as posts relating them to categories and tags. It should be part of the WordPress core as you can modify the look of pages far more than you can posts.
Works perfectly in WP version 4.9.6
A big thank you to the developer!

Put Categories and Tags options in Edit Page, so you can use it as well as with posts and create menus you like.

Took lots of browsing to find this among other plugins. Some plugins have more but useless, some have less. This one is the right one.
WordPress reduce itself to a pathetic mere blog utilities by skipping this plugins from its main module.
Code snippets is not a solution. This plugin is.

I like this plugin. That’s a quite disappointment that WP doesn’t have such an obvious feature. But! If I have categories now, how can I display pages under categories. What I mean are URL’s. How can I achieve an URL like: myawesomewebsite.com/[category]/my-fantastic-page

Plugin allows you to quickly add categories and tag support to WordPress Pages. It is super light weight, does not create any db entries. It simply link the Post Categories to Pages. I hope users will find it useful
