]]>I have no affiliation with the Add Clone Sites for WPMU (batch) plugin, just a user. Looking through earlier support requests suggests this plugin that’s not been updated for 4 years doesn’t work.
It does still work.
I’ve been using this plugin along with the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin with no problems for several years on 8 mapped domains running about 80 domains.
So this plugin (version 0.8.4.2) does work with the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin (version 0.5.5.1) in WordPress 4.4.2 as of February 2016.
It’s been over 2 years since I setup a mapped domain, so no point asking me how to get this working. If I had to setup another domain mapped site I’d have to go read the instructions etc… again ??

Anyone know a good substitute for this? There are a number of products that do it one-at-a-time, but that’s not an option here.

When building my model-site which I want to clone, I saved all pictures in media library in order to have them available when cloning. Happens that cloning went ok with no errors but images aren’t in the new site… can you tell me what could possibly be done?? Thank you!

Here is a fix for the issue which cause the error “Could not find any sites which could be used as a templates”, on a multisite setup with multiple blogs.
In adminpage-add-cloned-sites.php on both lines 15 and 27, replace ‘$wpdb->prefix’ with ‘$wpdb->base_prefix’. In my case $wpdb->prefix gave the prefix for my third site (wp_3_), but base_prefix always gives you the prefix for the base setup which is wp_.

]]>I’ve noticed that post category urls such as: https://example.com/category/something/ does not work after cloning, I have to login each site and go to Permalink Settings page and re-save the settings to get them work.
It gets a bit tedious if one clones many sites.
I tried to add flush_rewrite_rules(); for my theme, but it did not work either. In the end I must go to the settings page for each new blog and re-save the permalink settings to get category pages work.
Anyone have a workaround for this?

]]>There was a problem on multisite installations with networks for WordPress( David Dean’s Networks plugin) activated.
Add Clone Sites for WPMU (batch) plugin works fine on main network. But I can see a warning message : “Could not find any sites which could be used as a templates
You need to add at least one site before you can clone a site ”
The message appears under Child network–> networks –> Add clone sites
@bigcityinformer also reported the same problem

the plugin Add Clone Sites for WPMU is not working for me. I have a normal multisite install (subdomains) with the plugin from David Dean “Networks for WordPress” to have several networks inside the multisite.
If I activate the clone sites plugin it says I have to add sites first before i can clone a site. The message is:
Could not find any sites which could be used as a templates
You need to add at least one site before you can clone a site
I have sites already and they are up and running.
Anyone has a clue or got it working in a similar configuration?

Specifically, I think the issues start around $result = $wpdb->query( "CREATE TABLE $new_table LIKE $old_table[0]" );
No tables are being created.

]]>WordPress MU Domain Mapping version 0.5.4 is installed, activated and configured properly.
First of all, the blogs need to use sub directories and not separate domains. That should be respected by the plugin, and it only brutes on about Domain mapping. That’s another matter. A plugin that requires another plugin? That’s just.. bad.
It created the site, but failed when trying to find the domain mapping plugin. No image urls or anything have been changed. Menu links haven’t been changed. The site’s own URL is wrong.

Domainmapping failed because the domainmap plugin is not activated!I have WPMU set up using sub-directories. When I install this plugin and try to use it, none of my sub-sites show up.
So is this only made for subdomains?
