Hi there.
I have a problem with displaying footer ,header and theme color. When the plugin is active and footer ,header and theme color is changed yellow to blue , it is not displayed on the site. If I deactivate the plugin, theme and refresh the menu management page, but didnt change. If i deactivate the polylang plugin then everything is fine.
Also i don’t see any errors in debug.log.
Looks like saving menu data when the plugin is active is incorrect
]]>Hi there.
I have a problem with displaying footer nav 4. When the plugin is active and footer nav 4 is selected, it is not displayed on the site. If I deactivate the plugin and refresh the menu management page, I see that the menu is unchecked. If I mark it and save it, it will appear on the site.

I have two logos one for each of the two languages I have on my website. I’ve installed this plugin and when I changed the logo on one language it’s also changed on the other language. Any advice how to fix this?

I have been using the plugin without problem for several months. Today I have a critical error and have to leave the plugin disabled. Could you give me some suggestions (Today I updated other site plugins)?

I can always reproduce the error by updating ocean-extra.
If more information is needed, I will provide it.
There is a header top section in the theme of the site. Adding content from the Customize section. We have established a site with 3 language options and this top section always appears in the first language. We can’t change the button name either. We have installed the Add Polylang support for Customizer plugin, but we cannot find the part in 3.2 in the steps you have guided. When we select and edit English from the Customize section, the content changes in all languages. Because we could not make the setting in item 3.2. How can we do it?

]]>Thank you for this wonderful plugin. It works, however:
I managed to copy texts from one language to another without realising it!
The bug can be reproduced as follows:
– In my case, the primary language is EN, the translated language DE.
– In the customizer, Go to DE, change something (e.g. site title), DO NOT publish
– Change language to EN, confirm “Yes I want to leave the page” (e.g. because I want to discard the changes)
– When EN is loading, it says, “I have found an autosave, do you want to restore it?” Click on restore
– Then the changes that I did in DE now appear in EN.
IMO this behavior is confusing. I would have expected the changes from DE to stay as autosave in DE, or to be discarded silently. The easiest workaround is to not use Autosave, is there a way to disable this feature?

Hi there,
We are using Polylang plugin to make language selector for our page.
We sucessfully translated all pages – but we stuck on “footer” as i do not see option to “translate”. Can you let me know if that is possible to use Plolang plugin to make “footer” dependend on language selected?
Thank you,
Sebastian
PS page i work on has only Polish language at the moment – soon – we will turn EN as well. But i would like to have it consistent and not to leave “footer” not translated.
— edited —
So i have turned via Polylang / options – and i do see icons (PL / EN) next to Template / Setions i have defined. Issue is, i do not see “+” icon to add EN page …
If, i define new Template / Section – then – i can see “+” and i can add translation for Template / Section. Isn’t that strange? Why i can not see “+” and i can not translate existing thing?
Thank you.

After trying to trace the issue, I was able to fix this issue by changing the init code of the Polylang plugin, which was originally add_action( 'plugins_loaded', array( $this, 'init' ), 1 );
to $this->init();
so that the polylang plugin runs immediately without waiting for the plugin_loaded action. It appears that your plugin is running before the polylang plugin and caused this issue.
I have a multilang site. The home is static and three versions exist (ita, eng, es).
Following the guide I tried to set a static page for language, but it does not allow me to store the updates.
In particular, For example I select “English” in the Top Menu, then I set the Home page and I save. I repeat the same thing with Spanish, if I save I lost the settings for English version
Consequentely, If I change a Paragraph widget in Spaninsh, it will be in Spanish for also Italian and English

]]>Hi,
for our site:
https://future-fund.org
we are trying to translate the Account URLs: what happens when you click the little person-icon in the top right. If you are logged out, it takes you to the Login page. If you are logged in, it takes you to your Account page. This is a feature of our theme, Astra (a very popular one).
We are now trying to translate these links using your plugin, but are not succeeding. Every time we change it in one language, it is immediately changed for all languages. It seems to be the same problem as this user had: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/inability-to-retain-different-text/
Can you advise, have you and that user found a solution?
I’m trying this plugin with a Custom Sections (Text, Images, etc.) on Frontpage One Page Theme (Onepress) and 3 languages. The theme needs the frontpage to be selected as a static page which has the template “frontpage” from the theme.
I need to figure out how the 2 secondary languages content is saved/updated.
It seems the content of the first language is initially copied/duplicated over to the secondary languages when activating the plugin. I’m not sure if after activating/deactivating sections and adding/changing elements/images in the first language this has an effect on the secondary languages: is seems the first language current content is shown in the Customize preview (right side) for the secondary languages (after switching at the top of customizer panel) and only after editing a section the preview of that section is updated.
So far I was not able to:
1) change the permalink of the secondary languages
2) copying all or parts of the theme sections from primary to secondary languages
3) edit the content of the sections/languages side by side (sort of a table editing)
4) the main Nav menu of the secondary languages: I’m struggling to set this up, seems those need separate Nav-Menu instances
Probably some of this is limited or setup by WP/Polylang itself but if you know any easy way/solution to my issues: thank you!
]]>First of all, thank you @richardevcom for the development of this plugin.
Now, I am experiencing a mishap in my setup trying to use the plugin.
I am trying to change the text on the header button, customisable via Customizer, but when I save/publish the page and use the switcher dropdown to change the language, the button retains the changed value on the previous language and so forth. No matter how many times I change languages and modify the value, whichever one is the latest I input is the one that sticks.
I am not very sure if this is Astra-imposed, or a conflict with it.
Whenever you have some time to look into this, I would deeply appreciate it.
Thanks!

does it support polylang pro?
Hello !
Thanks for this plugin, I have been having some issues with custom text fields overwriting my polylang strings translations and it always displays those strings in english instead of the languages I have translated them to .
This plugin seems exacatly what I was looking for but when I try to save some of the customizer text fields it always updates both languages to the last text I insert, instead of saving a different text for each language .
In the end it’s as if there was no different text for each of the languages in the dropdown menu .
Any clue what might be wrong ?
