I’ve used widget after content for several years:

I have the latest php version and wordpress and its plugins are all up to date.

if i rollback widget after to 2.4.6 the error goes away

any help appreciated in sorting that error.

I set the widget priority to 99 but it still show above my comment box and other post content. Is there a way to ensure it appears at the bottom of the page?

Please bump for 6.2.2 and add ability to add a specific widget to a specific category

I’ve activated this on a custom post type (created with Toolset), to show only on the CPT, and it displays twice when activated.
? Anybody else run into this?

Is it possible to have multiple versions of the widget after content?

For instance, an image CTA for a certain category.

A different image CTA in the widget for another category.

Not sure if that makes sense.

My current workaround is to “turn off” widget for an individual post and manually add an image CTA in the content.

But, that is super manual. Maybe I am just missing something in settings.

not sure why, but it works on some of my articles, but on some it doesnt, even when its turned on, on all of them by default.

For example it doesnt work here:

The “Remove widget after content” option is not checked. Would you know why this may be happening? Thank you

I have some custom fields in my post, the widget is showing after the default wp title/content, but before all the custom fields. so its showing in the middle of my post, is this plugin not support custom fields ? please advise, thanks

The widget doesn’t display in Woocommerce pages, like single products and shop page.
Is it correct?

It appears that the After Content plugin is now conflicting with WordPress Editing Toolkit. I have a video in my After Content. The video plays on every page except the blog page: https://other-autism.com/blog-2/

The video was playing on the blog page before. I just noticed it wasn’t working today and tested it out by deactivating and then activating each plugin one by one. The video on the blog page was playing fine until I re-activated the WordPress Editing Toolkit.

In the plugin settings, the text is confusing. The title says “Where to show the widget area”, so you’d think that you just check the boxes where you want to display the widget area. But you actually need to check all the boxes where you DON’T want to display it.

Also something like “check all/none” would be great if there are many post types/categories.

Please don’t give up on this plugin. It is a cool plugin. Would you please update it? It says: “This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.”

I hope you did not give up on it since it has not been updated since last year. Thank you for making it.

I have a strange issue:
I use a posttype called ‘text blocks’. When I check the widget not to show, it will work fine. (link: https://www.cruisereiziger.nl/text-blocks/inhoud-aankomsten/)

When I use that posttype textblock on a page/article the widget suddenly does appear! (see link: just under the blue buttons, an advertisement)

Note: I use the widget also after the posttype ‘page’, there it is working perfect!

Great plugin. The only thing I need it to do is to exclude it from showing on certain “pages”.

I want to it to show on ALL our blog Posts, and with a message along the lines of “Get involved and add our comment below”.

I want it to show on only certain Pages, where comments are turned on, for instance our Information page where we want to have interactive comments. Separately on certain pages, which do not have comments turned on, such as the shopping basket pages, we do not want AWAC to show.

(it wont make sense for the AWAC to say “Comment below” and then there is no comment form available).

How can I exclude by page ID number?

How can I enable this? Or is this something you could add into the plugin please?

Other plugins I have which have such an “exclude certain pages” option, allow me to add in each page ID number eg 145,265,254,345

Update: Turns out it was a user permission snafu on the DB with the admin user. Changing settings weren’t saving.

I am in need of adding the same content block after every post, before the comments, and this plugin’s concept appears to be exactly what I need.

Unfortunately, I enabled it and it does not appear to be working at all. I stripped my site down to no other plugins and the Twenty Seventeen theme, and it still is not inserting the designated widgets after any posts.

I am running WP 5.1.1 with the Classic Editor enabled.

First, a big THANK YOU for an excellent plugin. I installed it on many my clients websites, it works very well. Thank you one more time.

As Gutenberg broke so many things and introduces a very unfriendly text editor, I migrated many websites to the ClassicPress (you know, it is based on WP 4.9).

Now your plugin is marked “Incompatible with your version of WordPress” even on WP4.9 sites.

Can you make your plugin compatible to the ClassicPress? In general, it can be the same plugin version, as it was on the WP4.9, just with bug fixes.

Add Widget After Content plugin was missing the ability to filter based on categories (it initially only allowed filter based on post type and post format).

I have modified your plugin to support filtering based on categories.

Added this to the awac_initialize_options function after line 137 (in add-widget-after-content-admin.php):

Then in add-widget-after-content.php in show-awac function at line 134, I added this line:
$exclude_category = (array)get_option('all_post_categories');

And added this line at line 137 (same file, same function):
$category = get_the_category();

Then finally, at line 153 (in the same file and function), I added this code:

				$cat = $categories->name;
				if(isset($exclude_category[$cat]) == 1){
					return false;
				}
				return true;
			}

I didn’t add code for categories for meta functions, and I haven’t tested to determine whether that code will cause issues for if a post type/format is excluded. But it does the job. Hopefully the above changes will save you time and work in adding filtering based on categories in the next update so I don’t lose the feature I added to your plugin. ??
