if it is of interest to someone, with this way you can solve the woocommerce dashicons bug
function callback_dashicons_woocommerce($buffer_class_woocommerce) {
$buffer_class_woocommerce = str_replace('menu-top toplevel_page_woocommerce', 'menu-top menu-icon-generic toplevel_page_woocommerce', $buffer_class_woocommerce);
$buffer_class_woocommerce = str_replace('menu-top toplevel_page_edit?post_type=product', 'menu-top menu-icon-product', $buffer_class_woocommerce);
$buffer_class_woocommerce = str_replace('toplevel_page_edit-post_type-product', 'menu-posts-product', $buffer_class_woocommerce);
return $buffer_class_woocommerce;
}
function buffer_start_replace_class() { ob_start("callback_dashicons_woocommerce"); }
function buffer_end_replace_class() { ob_end_flush(); }
add_action('admin_head', 'buffer_start_replace_class');
add_action('admin_footer', 'buffer_end_replace_class');

Any update on this plugin? If it’s dead or abandoned, it would be nice to know. The 2,o Alpha was released in 2017.
https://github.com/wearerequired/admin-menu-manager/releases/tag/2.0.0-alpha
]]>Hi,
the plugin is already a bit older (Last updated: 3 years ago) and in many help pages is that you should not use old plugins, because they (if they are not updated every now and then) could contain more security vulnerabilities.
I find the plugin is pretty good. But I wanted to ask how they rate the plugin. Is there any relevant things in the plugin that could lead to security holes? So, you can still use the plugin with a good conscience or recommend that you should uninstall the plugin better. Maybe it just will not be developed anymore.
I would be very happy about feedback.
greetings
Any update on the release of version 2.0?
Will it have menu options based on user role?
Cheers!
]]>The Github link in the description goes to WP Widget Disable
I am looking forward to v2.0
]]>Hi
After updating to 4.9 the plugin Email Subscribers & Newsletters is disappering
I’ve used this plugin for some sites, and i really like the simplicity of it. Combined with another plugin User Admin Simplifier i’ve been able to customize the menu-structure to my needs. I really hope we’ll soon get an uppdate ??
]]>Hi guys,
Since I’m a huge fan of this plugin, I’m curious when the update of version 2 of the plugin will be released on www.ads-software.com? I’ve read a couple of times before that it is planned in the near future, but I also read that 1,5 year ago haha. I know there is already a beta, but I would like to wait until the new release is official.
Thanks for your answer!
Bye,
Nick
Hi. Thank for the only one and supper cool interface/live change menu position.
It work good for me, but the only issue
When move submenu inside setting (admin-left-menu/setting/general) ==> TO ==> Main admin menu (admin-left-menu/general), the URL is not found, given error 404
Defaul url or new url both is 404
Please update.
Thanks
If you’re still updating this, note that your plugin breaks MonsterInsights Google Analytics plugin. It makes it impossible to access settings for that plugin.
See my support thread on the MonsterInsights plugin page.
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/cannot-access-settings-8/
It would be great if you’d let us know whether your plugin is even being supported or updated at all anymore. I’ve found it helpful in the past.
]]>Yesterday I installed plugin and modified my menu. Todoay I login and all menus are ordered randomly, some submenus have become main menus, and when I edit I have only 2 separators instead of 4. On each page reload menus are ordered randomly again. What the heck is going on here?
]]>Just curious, what’s the update on v2.0? We’re experiencing some a bit of wonky behavior (some addressed here in the forum, some not) and before we file support tickets I’d love to know if v2.0 is on its way. Thanks for an awesome plugin!
]]>Types is the only free plugin of the Toolset suite.
When Types is active, and no other plugin from Toolset is active as well, it shows fine.
The issue is when there is more than one plugin from the Toolset suite, active (eg. Types and CRED).
Without Admin Menu Manager, this is how it would normally show, with both Types and CRED on:
https://postimg.org/image/69k63jf49/
With Admin Menu Manager, and only 1 plugin from Toolset (Types), it works fine:
https://postimg.org/image/dd5npqhjf/
But when Types AND Cred are active at the same time, Admin Menu Manager seems to break the normal “grouping” that happens (basically CRED menu stuff should go inside the Toolset menu.. instead it shows separated and no submenu shows up for either):
https://postimg.org/image/4mcibe1ld/
So, without submenus showing up, the only way to use the Toolset submenu items/pages/settings… is to de-activate each time the Admin Menu Manager plugin… :/
The support at Toolset is usually pretty active, so in case you want to talk to them about how to fix it, here’s the support forum.

Hi! Looking for a nice admin menu plugin and this one seems awesome. I see that you’re also working on a 2.0 with some more neat features. My only concern is that this hasn’t been updated in 11 months and it doesn’t say it’s compatible with 4.5. I see that you’re still responding to support, but I was hoping you could confirm that this plugin hasn’t fallen by the wayside.
thanks!
]]>Hello,
On a website with JetPack stats enabled, the Stat timeline in the WordPress Admin bar was displaying as a broken image.
I isolated the problem by switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme and disabling plugins one by one. Admin Menu Manager was the culprit. Wondering if anyone else is seeing a broken JetPack stats icon?
]]>I’m just wondering. Once you make your menu changes, do the customizations remain in place once you deactivate or uninstall the plugin? Or do they revert back?
Seems like a very useful tool but just perhaps not necessary to keep installed after you have everything set up.
]]>Hi,
I have a suggestion/request:
Sublevel menus can only be dropped to “open” sub level menus.
By “open” I mean top level menus that are active and you can already see the open sub level menu items. You can drag a menu item there. But if the sub menu is not already open from an active top level menu item, you can’ drag to the submenu of it.
It would be more intuitive to be able to drop any sub menu to any other sub menu, regardless if that menu is actively open or not.
I hope that makes sense. Let me know or I can create a screen cast.
Thanks for the ear.
]]>Hi again, it’s not possible for me to move the menu-item of plugin “All in One SEO“.
These plugin stays in the level 0, but i want to move it to settings. No chance. Can you check it?
Maybe other plugins are the problem. Have in use “Admin Menu Editor”(1.4.5) and “Adminimize”.
Cheers
]]>Hi, if activate your plugin, my icons for menu-points products and woocommerce shows wrong icons. Instead cart-icon (for products) i see the post-icon, instead woocomemrce-icon i see the page-icon.
Maybe it is a side effect, because some WP menu-items are hiddden or moved by other plugins (admin menu editor, admin menu manager)
]]>Hi,
This looks awesome but I have question.
If I edit the menu is that just showing for me or other users and would other users editing the menu affect my menu organization?
]]>Looks very cool – but i need 3rd level (sub sub menus) – which WordPress doesn’t support per default. Adding that as an option would be wonderful.
]]>There are several blank rows in the admin menu by default.
When in edit mode, these are surrounded by a dashed line (marching ants?).
I want to be able to add or remove these blank rows.
Also, rather than just a blank row, I would like the option of having a line separator.
]]>Seems to be a minor conflict with the Slate Amin Theme
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/slate-admin-theme/description/
After saving and clicking done (the tick mark), the admin menu remains in edit mode. I cleared my cache and refreshed and the admin menu went back to being usable.

Awesome interface! Please make a pro version of it. I will but it with following features:
– remove menu items based on user roles
– make menu changes global for multisite usage
keep going the good work!
]]>When you reorder the menu with this plugin, do the changes affect every user, or does each user get/have to sort them on their own.
Thanks!
]]>Hello!
Just tested it out and must says it’s a really nice plugin, I’m exited to see the improvements you will make over the time.
One useful feature I imagine is the ability to export/import menu profiles. And maybe one option to export it directly to php, very dev friendly.
Keep up the good work!
FG
Nice work Pascal!
Just testing this out today, and found that I was not able to drag a child item and drop it as another parent menu’s child item. Did I miss something?… or this is planned for v2?
Hoping to have this as a default plugin soon for organizing the admin menu.
Thanks!
Bowo
Hey there
When installed, the WordPress dashboard and theme translation all reverted to English form any other language installed.
This is bad. Had to turn it off. It’s unusable this way.
Hope you’ll get it fixed.
Cheers,
Roy
Great work! Is the plugin compatible with MultiSite? If so, should we network activate or only activate per subdomain?
]]>Hello,
I’m sorry to say that the plugin breaks all the links to plugins settings under settings menu.
A few suggestions:
– hide menus;
– add separator;
– create new parent menu (like settings, tools);
– add custom links to the menu;
