Thank you for an AWESOME plugin! Ok Folks, this plugin not only allows you to drag and drop a menu item Anywhere in the menu bar you want, but it also allows you to Drag a menu item on top of another menu item, thereby causing it to be a submenu item. My only question is, why is the 2.0 version only available on GitHub, and not the WordPress site? Another awesome feature is that when you click on your newly created menu, the submenu appears to the right and not below the menu item as the default WordPress does. This is a very cool feature that will not cause a menu item like your Settings to expand and take up the A large amount of your menu bar on the left.
WordPress users, if you want the latest, working plug-in you will have to go to the website listed below by the author. This is an awesome plug-in and the only working plug-in to manage the admin menu on the backend of your WordPress sites To this granular level. Downloading this plug-in from GitHub will install straight to your WordPress site without any additional unzipping.
Thank You SOOOO much Pascal!

Hi there
It’s possible that we’ve already fixed this bug in version 2.0 alpha of this plugin, so if you could give that one a try (ideally on a development site), you can download it here: https://github.com/wearerequired/admin-menu-manager/releases/tag/2.0.0-alpha

This plugin does not work with the latest version of WordPress and WooCommerce. I was having issues seeing all the menu items for WooCommerce after updating to the latest versions. Once I deactivated this plugin, it all work correctly and I could see all the missing menu items. This plugin needs to be updated.

The plugin still works well on 4.9.x and is really simple and useful so a big fan, the only issue I had with it was in some cases it seems to create a new sub menu item that doesn’t lead anywhere. It’s a bit of a shame but other than that I really like it.

Ne marche pas chez moi (animation de sous-menu absente !), je désinstalle ! ??

Needs ability to add items, and then it’d be perfect!

Very reduced (you can only rearrange existing admin menu items at this point in time), but absolutley intuitive und smooth. Can’t wait for version 2.0! Thanks guys!

The plugin works wonderfully – but compared to its competitors it’s still missing important features, specifically the ones listed in the plugin description such as
> Completely remove (and restore) menu items
> Edit existing menu items and their icons
> Add custom items to the admin menu
Personally, in its current state, I miss the most the option to add custom items. So I’m looking forward to the new release(s).

This is a great plugin that works like a charm. I needed a simple, effective means of minimising a client’s admin area so that they could only access the essential plugins they required. This does just that and couldn’t be easier to configure. A well deserved 5 stars. Thank you!

it works with version 4.7.5

It’s working for me on WP 4.7, nothwithstanding the weak overall structure of my theme. I had to switch to this because Admin Menu Editor has stopped working with latest WP. But I’m as satisfied as before (maybe even better, because you don’t need to dive into the plugin settings) and I wonder why it has got so few downloads, whereas it really competes with the mentioned plugin.
The possibility of adding more separators and icons will make it a 5-star’s (though I read it will come in 2.0 one day).

Super useful and much-needed plugin. (especially if you have a lot of stuff going on in terms of plugins)
Works like a charm! ??

Does what it’s meant to do, but very easily and fast. Though would be nice to have possibility to add submenus and dividers.

Utterly simple and intuitive to use. Now I can rearrange my admin menu as much and as often as I want just with drag-and-drop. I hope the developer keeps this great plugin updated!

Top, works in most cases.

Thanks for this plugin, it provides an easy solution for a very common user story. I particularly love how the edit link appears right underneath the admin menu. Other plugins I’ve seen would add an additional options page; this one keeps UI as simple as possible and adds the edit trigger right where it makes sense. Full 5 stars, keep it up!

For months I’ve scrolled up and down my admin menu to find Woo Commerce Products or up to find Comments or down to find Posts.
Now my admin menu is ordered to have one I need to use the most right at the top of the menu.
I’m loving it!

Four stars for the already great v1. But still missing key functionalities, so reserving a five star for v2. Keep it up!

Beyond white labeling and other personalization of dashboards, THIS is what my clients need, and it works like a CHARM. As promised, it allows you to reorganize the WP dashboard by simply dragging and dropping the items where you want them to be. I can now create a dashboard for my technophobic clients that will not scare them, and it doesn’t take hours of coding or huge outlays of cash to do it. I am SO grateful for this plugin. My life is officially easier now!

Works as suggested, once I found the ‘edit’ button at the bottom of the menu…. LOL
Will prob get to 5 stars with the version 2….

Very easy to use.

I needed to “hide” some custom post types menu created by a theme. Well, I cannot hide them with this plugin but I can move in a place where they don’t interfer with my use.
Notice: when moving entries, the cross disapear sometimes but even if you don’t see anything, the drag and drop works.
