I am experiencing an issue with the Admin Notices Manager 1.5.0 plugin on a multisite installation where the notification visibility options do not behave as expected.
My goal is to hide notifications from all users except for super admins. To achieve this, I use the option labeled “Hide notifications to all users but not these.” However, when I enter the super admin username, the notifications are hidden from the super admin, while all other users still see them. This outcome is the opposite of what I intended.
I suggest that this option be renamed to “Show notifications to all users but not these” for better clarity.
Additionally, I have encountered a similar issue with the option “Hide notifications only from these users.” When I enter a specific user in this setting, I expect that user to be unable to see the notifications, while all other users should still see them. Instead, the specified user can see the notifications, and the others cannot.
Can you confirm this behavior?
]]>Hi there!
I have been using your plugin on various websites for at least a year or two … and I like it very much, especially when there are several editors that contribute website content, so they are not annoyed with new notifications. Usually your plugin works just fine, however, the last few days I had a major problem on a website with Memberpress Courses plugin and their support helped me troubleshoot the problem, pinpointing Admin Notices Manager plugin as a culprit for the problems that I experienced on the back end.
It’s hard to explain the problem by writing, so here is screencast that I recorded for Memberpress support: https://go.screenpal.com/watch/cZQOYsVSCTC
As you can see, there are some display problems in WP back-end (Posts, Pages etc), and after we disabled Admin Notices Manager plugin, those problems went away. So, it seems there is some conflict with WP settings or PHP code there?
Well, after Memberpress helped pinpoint the problem related to Admin Notices Manager, I checked another website where I use Admin Notices Manager and have a little display problem as well … here is the screenshot: https://ibb.co/MDQRWLD
As you can see, there is an error code above text on Updates page and that error code goes away if I disable Admin Notices Manager plugin. So, again, there is some conflict with WP settings or PHP code there. Or is it conflicting with DIVI Theme, maybe?
Can you please look into that and see if your plugin is compatible with the latest WordPress 6.6.2? it says it was updated 1 day ago, but that’s not true, either (latest update according to your own changelog is ver. 1.5.0 (2024-06-05)).
Also, as others already reported times, there are some notifications that cannot be hidden, some that cannot be dismissed and there are some that do not even show in Admin Notification area (have to disable plugin to see them). So, it would be great to improve the plugin in that way, too.
Please let me know if you can figure out anything regarding conflicting views in the back-end.
Thanks, Danijel
]]>Dear Robert,
Thank you for a fantastic plugin. You are a credit to the WordPress community with this plugin. We have tried a variety of similar ones and clearly prefer yours.
I have a question in the hope that you may have a solution. We have three notifications that state:
These notices persist even after your plugin is active and we don’t seem to be able to ‘hide notice forever’.
Would you have a suggestion for a solution?
Many thanks for your help with this.

]]>I noticed you’re no longer pulling up in the WordPress repository and your support page says the plugin is temporarily closed pending a full review. I hope everything is ok! This is by my far my favorite plugin. Do you think you’ll be back soon?
]]>Hello,
I’m using the plugin but the notices aren’t always hidden. like in this example.
View post on imgur.com
The plugin page is called Variation Swatches by VillaTheme (paid plugin on Envato). The console shows no errors, is it possible to fix it?
On some pages the notices are visible for a brief period of time before they get hidden, is it possible to hide them from the start?
On some other pages the notices are hidden but it show (4) but I only see 1 in the drawer.
Thank you
]]>Hello!
Wonderful plugin.
Just reporting that it seems to be conflicting with Gravity Form settings pages. Something there goes broken probably as Gravity Forms admin pages has their own styling. When navigating to Gravity Forms settings page, the whole page is blue. When scrolling down, the normal styles are loaded.
If needed I can set up a demo site to see.
Second – I always encourage adding settings link in the plugins view next to “deactivate”. When first activated, it is usually a search for the settings/configuration page ??
I am not marking this as support question, rather just minor bug report for acknowledgement.
Best,
R

]]>For example when creating a new user it hides “A Nickname is required. Please choose a nickname or fill out your first and last name.”
I’ve seen other instances of important messages such as that being hidden as well, you see it quickly flash appear and then be hidden.
I disabled the plugin and will be looking for another that doesn’t mess up wordpress like this. Otherwise it’s a great plugin, the best I think. So I hope this will be fixed.

]]>Hello, First I want to say seems like a great plugin idea, I have tried many and yours has the one of the cleanest concepts and the fact that you have the plugin settings nested inside Setting is brilliant and simple.
Keeps the clutter down, it’s simple, clean and lightweight from what I can see so far. So thank you for your contribution and time.
Two things I would love to see in this plugin:
1. Handle banner ads being hidden forever, they hide but the Admin Notice shows a count and no way to control what it sees, so when you click the count you see a blank black screen off to the right. So it sorta works, but not for all notices and or nags / promos I guess.
2. It would be great to have some form of a log of what was hidden and allow that element to be un-hidden and or deleted from the log forever to keep the log clean.
2. Maybe a harder request and allot more work, not sure, but 1. seems possible as from my testing it doesn’t support hiding banners manually like other notices. I mean it does hide banners, but I do not seem to have control over them and thus they show up for a sec then hide with some form a masking. It’s more of a css masking then really not loading that element anymore.
So I have to Deactivate your plugin to see the banners again and they never ever go away, they come back with each login. The one thing I do not like about WP / WC is developer bloat, inline ads, tracking and so on. I’m working my way towards getting rid of all the bloat and annoyances somehow.
Thanks again and all the best…

Hello, I am using version 1.3.1 of the plugin and I have the following problem, the number of hidden notices is shown in the admin bar but when I open the slide-out notices panel it is empty. If I deactivate the plugin I can see that the notices exist.
]]>Upgrading to the latest version will break the WP and the only way to fix is by deleting the plugin folder.
]]>Hi there,
Firstly, thanks for making this plugin.
It works-ish, but I am noticing that even when the slide-out notices panel is empty, the admin bar shows the red circle with a number between 1-3. I thought maybe it was including outstanding available updates so I applied those, and it still shows the number.
Is there a known cause for this?
]]>Thanks for your plugin, it has been great at reducing the noise
Unfortunately, there is a conflict with WP Mail SMTP Pro
on a multisite network
with Admin Notices Manager activated network enabled or only on primary site
WP Mail SMTP Pro Settings don’t load
this worked in the past without issue, so maybe has been a problem since last ANM update

]]>Hi, just reporting a small bug. Since the recent slide-in replaced the popup window, the notices are only partly visible now, the top part of notices is now hidden/covered by header bars, as used by Woocommerce and Elementor (with the inbox button the right). I am not speaking of the top menu header bar. but below that.
When I applied “display: none” to the css on the class “woocommerce-layout__header” the notice became visible as a whole. Hope you will fix it. Thanks.
Cheers.

]]>Hi, thanks for the great plugin. I have a feature request.
I would like to be able to make an exception for self created notices, that should remain visible. I currently use self-generated notices on several admin pages (for reminders and stuff), that now get hidden by your plugin. If you could for example whitelist a notice exception, that would be cool.
For instance, I now use the class “notice-exception” in these notices, maybe you could create an extra category (also in your settings) for this for self-created notices that are treated seperately from the other categories.
Thanks!
]]>Hi – thanks for your plugin.
I’m still getting class=”notice notice-error” or “message error” messages displayed in admin that are not rerouted to the admin notices section (specifically activate license BetterDocsPro, and several WPML).
The admin toolbar Admin Notices shows 0, while several red flag messages are displayed on admin page

I also tested activated per site
the plugin is not working
