This plugin does not sufficiently check access permissions, nor does it validate the untrusted user input in any way.
In addition, this plugin can easily cause name conflicts with WordPress core code and other plugins, as it uses too generic names for classes and functions.

After installing this plugin no users are able to login to the dashboard. Urgh! ??

I don’t know why it has less number of users when it is sooo simple and best option.

This is an essential plugin, since wordpress doesn’t allow to change the username. This is the only option. Excellent work.

The plugin works as advertised. I installed it on my WordPress site, changed my username, logged out, and logged back in without any troubles.

I uploaded this and installed it – very easy to do. I appreciate getting rid of “Admin” as my user name. I will be tracking my spam to see if this continues to hold strong. Thank you, Miller

A really good idea to prevent dictionary attacks from succeeding. So many of us, when we start out, have never heard of dictionary attacks, and using the same login name as a display name is just asking for trouble.
I used this on a multisite installation without problems, except that I had to reinstate multisite admin status to myself – fortunately I keep an alternate superadmin identity in a locked drawer!
