I installed Advanced Excerpt plugin, but it does not support HTML.
Tags like <br>,<p>,<div>,..etc are not giving output as I want. I want my excerpt in list form and I tried every possible way to make the sentences in list form using these tags but nothing worked.
Is there any way to make it possible?

I installed the plugin and made the necessary settings. But the length of the excerpt does not change, although I tried to set a limit of 20, 30, 40, 55 words. The theme template of the site is jNews Child. As if the plugin can’t work in this theme.

I’m trying to setup an AWeber based newsletter campaign
AWeber uses the descrption tag to generate the post excerpt.
But it is truncating the exceprt at 100 characters, from the look of the code below that they are using.
How can I change this markup to either accept the settings in Advanced Excerpt or to replace the code so it will finish at the end of the sentence?

]]>Often we’re asked to display an excerpt with a specified number of characters – say 150 – but not cut the excerpt off mid-word.
As far as I can tell, this is currently impossible with the plugin. If you specify 150 characters and finish ‘exact (count spaces as well)’, it is cut off mid-word. If you specify 150 characters and finish ‘word’, it doesn’t count spaces and you end with around 180 characters.
]]>Oh yeah, as the plugin promises, it changes completely the way your excerpt box is showing… by completely blowing it away. Even after deactivating it and clearing the cache I lost my excerpt panel and cannot edit the content I had in there anymore. Great.

I’m using the post grid plugin with my own custom excerpt.
Eventhough I have added <br/> as line break in my custom excerpt, but it’s not showing the line break.
I’ve set the ?the Strip Tags option by checking the “Don′t remove any tags” checkbox.
The “Generate excerpts even if a post has a custom excerpt attached” is unchecked.
However, the “Use the custom excerpt (if disabled the excerpt is generated from the content)” checkbox is disabled. I can’t seem to check the checkbox.
May I know what do I need to configure to show the line break on the excerpts shown in my post listing (using the post grid plugin)?

I′m using custom excerpt field on my posts to show contact information of the person the post is about. For this I need to separate different pieces of information (name, telephone etc.) to individual lines for the excerpt to make any sense. As it seems by default tags are not allowed in excerpts.
I downloaded the Advanced Excerpts -plugin and set the Strip Tags -option to “Don′t remove any tags”. Does this function only apply to automatically generated excerpts or am I missing something as any tags I try to add wont work on frontend.
Here is an example what I′m tryin to achieve:
option 1, using <br> -tag
Name<br>Telephone 1<br>Telephone 2
option 2, using <p> -tag
<p>Name</p><p>Telephone 1</p><p>Telephone 2</p>
This should result in three lines showing the corresponding data.

]]>I just spun up a local site to test and the plugin had absolutely no effect. I was really hoping it would allow me to control WP’s automatically generated excerpt just to bring in <p> tags and maybe strip out some meta.
As far as I know, Generate Blocks/ Query Loop is based off WP’s core Query Loop.
Edit: I just tried switching to Twenty Twenty-Four theme with the default query loop and it didn’t seem to have an effect either. Is it supposed to work with query loop blocks?

I’m using WP 6.3.2 with the theme Kadence theme, v 1.1.48. When I have Advanced Excerpt plugin active, my sidebar widgets are scrambled. ]]>There appears to be a conflict with the PostX plugin which causes our site to break unless we add a manual excerpt to the PostX post and select “Use the custom excerpt (if disabled the excerpt is generated from the content)” option in Advanced Excerpt. The PostX block we are using is called Post Grid #4. Can we troubleshoot/fix this in Advanced Excerpt so we don’t need to remember to use the manual workaround, or is this more an issue for the PostX developers to look into?
