I’m with others, how come this is not included as a WordPress pre-installed!?
One minor quirk though….I cannot seem to get all of my categories to show up in the “Categories:” It’s only showing me four options? I have about 15…
Any ideas?

I needed a “recent posts” widget that can handle “Custom Post Types”. This one is working but has some issues…
1) Cannot change thumbnail size from 50×50 no matter what. Cursor just bounces out of fields. Why give the option if it cannot be changed?
2) If the thumbnail’s file name contains any spaces (converted to + signs by WP), the plugin chokes and shows a broken image link. WordPress can handle this, so should the plugin.

Exactly what was needed. Does one job and does it well.

Thanks … it improves the appearance of our web site.

Timthumb has a very serious exploit that can result in your website being owned and turned into a spam mirror. Please, please use something other than timthumb for image manipulation!
See: https://www.exploit-db.com/wordpress-timthumb-exploitation/
Also, this plugin does not support custom taxonomies which is curious since it supports custom post types.

Hi there Guys.
I would like to say this plugin is just BRILLIANT. I use it with Ultimatum Theme and it works a dream. Spot on, keep up the good work with this plugin.
Kind regards
John

So far it seems like a nice plugin, but I really don’t like not to be able to choose wether to use or not use plugin css in wordpress admin. Why automatically add loads of stuff that most users probably don’t want?
Though there is a plus in that it is easy to just run remove_action, to remove all these styles. It also seemed like there was somewhat a plan to allow the user to create their own css, which would be loaded instead.

Great plugin but the date format is static, it should be changed to match the date format from general settings.
This can be easily done by changing <?php the_time(“j M Y”); ?>
to <?php the_time(get_option(‘date_format’)); ?>

Works great! Just what I was looking for.

This is the best Recent Posts widget. Honestly, WordPress needs to include this as a built-in widget.
