]]>Hey, can’t seem to get the plugin to work on a my WP network installation. Whenever clicking on the cols icon in the visual editor, it opens a window saying Error 500. Couldn’t get it to work with any means of activation (network-wide, single site). Any ideas?

]]>After inserting an image into a column made by Advanced-WP-columns (version 2.0.6) it is not possible to change the width and height. Alignment is OK. The only way to change the seize of an image is to edit the original and upload it again. Anyone with a solution? Please help.

The space between the image and the title however is quite large, can I adjust line height with some custom css, I see in the plugin settings that you can add own code, but unfortunately I have no idea how to write this code.. Can the plugin author please remove the automatically inserted image (found here in the plugin files: advanced-wp-columns/assets/js/plugins/views/img/1×1-pixel.png)? Since my website background is not white as the image is, I have had to go in and manually remove it in the code for each column. It would be very helpful if that image could be removed from the plugin. Thanks.

I am building a site and on home page have used the Advanced WP Columns and I added some videos from youtube in the columns – and now the page is quite responsive. The page is very narrow – two narrow and the videos seem to fit the smaller screen. Viewed on a mobile phone…

]]>In my never-ending quest for a good column plugin, this one is fairly decent, but there’s some glaring issues that keep me from deploying it to non-tech-savvy site owners and content people.
I’m not comfortable with the way it currently works. For one thing, I’m more comfortable entering text in the visual editor so I have more options where formatting is concerned.
My recommendation is to set up the plugin so that you can first select the text you wish to put into columns, and then click on the columns button. The formatting in question would then apply to that text and only that text. The purpose here being to allow the poster to format the post the way he wants. Say a centered header in a single column, then text below that in two columns, followed by a table in one column. It would make the plugin more useful to me

]]>I just love this plugin, but, being a non-techy person it took me literally hours to understand how to use it… Therefore the title of my topic.
I would suggest to simply explain how your text gets inserted: when I clicked on the plugin icon in the editor, nothing happened and my columns showed empty, until I discovered that it was necessary to have the cursor set in my text before clicking the icon.
Very simple and straight forward as soon as you know it, but a source of perplexity when you don’t.
Just adding a line about it in you screenshots would help the dummy newcomers.

With the help of the Advanced WP Columns plugin, I’ve managed to make 2 columns with images responsive. However, it moves the column on the right over to the left too soon, and I don’t know which parameters to adjust to fix it. It should still show the 2 columns in the landscape view of a tablet, as a 2×2 grid.

</div>I have been testing your plugin and have found that there is a bug with Advanced Custom Fields. WPC only works properly in the standard content editor. When adding columns in an ACF HTML editor field, inserting the columns works okay, but you are unable to edit the content after inserting. It defaults to editing columns in the main content editor, if there are any. (Also note, with ACF, you may have multiple custom HTML fields)
Also, on WordPress 4.4.2, if the container width is set at 100% in the WPC settings, it breaks the popup iFrame editor. It does not in an older version I have running. It would be nice to have a fluid 100% width row or specify a container width like 900px.

Firstly, thank you for this such great plugin! It is the only one I found that allow us to set the flexible width for each column.
There is one function that I really would like to have, is ability to add image for a column. Currently, when you insert column, then try to add image, the popup box allow you to enter the image URL, that not good. It would be best if we can have something like when you click the “Media” button from default WordPress editor.
I hope it makes sense and this feature will be added to the next version soon.

This is a terrific plugin. Thank you. I’m having one problem though. I need to be able to insert blank rows in columns – with text or numbers in the rows above or below. I’ve tried using the space bar to insert blank spaces, but to no avail. No blank rows show up! Can you help?

I have read through the other threads on this subject but they are all closed and don’t really help me.
Not only is the text center-aligned when viewed on my iPhone, but the second column appears below the first column – this really defeats the purpose of columns.
