Hi,
I have performed a site reset on my development website as I wanted to start if possible with clean wordpress and just wanted to keep the plugins, themes and media files. After I have performed the reset I can see that everything went to a clean WordPress installation and all the files are present on the server when looking via FTP client, but are not displayed in the Media tab in wordpress. Like the complete Media tab is empty with no images, documents, etc.
Do you know how to fix that?
Kind regards
Michal

Hello, Im unable to log into my WordPress. Ive tried using the phpMyAdmin to create a new one and I still cannot log in that way. Please let me know what info you need to resolve this issue. Im starting to get frustrated because this client needs this website asap and would like to resolve this issue without their involvement. Thank you.
After a “Site Reset” (plugin free version) my database has doubled itself.
=> New tables beginning with: awr_bkp_
That seems to be an automatic taken snapshot (which looks like a great feature).
But there are no options in free version to:
a) Restore this snapshot (= useless anyway)
b) Delete this snapshot (= messing up the database forever)
Additional you have emphasized the importance of snapshots many times in the plugin description, like: “Snapshots provide a critical safety net for troubleshooting.”
And after this, … the feature was only included in PRO version.
Maybe you should add a hint:
Advanced WordPress Reset is not safe to use in free version! Use instead WP Reset with included snapshot feature also in free version.
Ciao, stavo usando il plugin e dopo aver resettato, ho perso l’accesso dell’amminastratore sul mio sito. come posso fare? ho bisogno di aiuto urgentemente.
I need some urgent help.
I used the plugin ‘Advanced WordPress reset’ and followed the WBBeginner tutorial on Youtube via https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wyb27TqchmA.
Now since the reset my admin user is no longer recognized and I cannot login. I followed the tutorial as proposed in the video https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-an-admin-user-in-wordpress-using-ftp/ but it didn’t work.
Now after some attempts to solve the issue I cannot access the login page at all anymore and it shows 403 Forbidden error.
Please I need your help urgently.
I used this plugin to reset my WordPress site but it seems to have wiped the entire site and I can no longer access WordPress. When I try to login it says my username is not registered on the site!
I’ve seen the answer you gave people with similar problems and I don’t even know where to put that code because I HAVE NO ACCESS TO THE SITE
Hi,
I would like to inform you that I have identified an issue in previous versions of the plugin (before 1.7) where the admin user was not properly recreated after a reset in some cases. This resulted in users being unable to log in.
This issue is now fixed in version 1.7 (or greater). The admin user should now be recreated as expected.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Younes
One year passed, and the I18N issue was still NOT resolved.
Please refer to this request.

Hello all
I really need help with the site I recently was assigned to by my manager. I am a beginner when it comes to wordpress, etc.
This is what happened: I installed the Advanced WordPress Reset. I activated it. I clicked the Main Reset option. When I tried to sign in it did not execute it but instead I got a screen telling me that the user or the email address does not exist.
What I did:
I cleared the cache and cookies but to no avail. I tried to reset the password this message came up: Error: there is no account with that username or email address. I looked up other options which are out of my depth.
Is there an issue with the plugin?
Please help as I am about to get fired if I am not getting our company site back up.
Mia
The latest version 1.5 now deletes the super admin user, I noticed this wasn’t happening in the previous versions.
Not sure if this is intentional, for me it’s not a big deal since I am using this only for development but if the user table is empty then I need to reinstall the WP each time I use the plugin for reset.
Thanks,
Krasen
Some UI strings cannot be extracted and they must be corrected as the following.
1. includes\functions.php, line 326
$all_explanations_array['uploads-files'] = sprintf(__("All media uploads inside %s directory will be deleted! This includes images, videos, music, documents, subfolders, etc.", 'advanced-wp-reset'), $uploads_dir_path);
2. includes\functions.php, line 332
$all_explanations_array['wp-content-files'] = sprintf(__("All files and folders inside %s directory will be deleted, except 'index.php' and the following folders: 'plugins', 'themes', 'uploads' and 'mu-plugins'.", 'advanced-wp-reset'), $wp_content_path);
3. includes\functions.php, line 334
$all_explanations_array['mu-plugins-files'] = sprintf(__("All Must-use plugins in %s will be deleted. These are plugins that cannot be disabled except by removing their files from the must-use directory.", 'advanced-wp-reset'), $must_use_path);
I see it’s 4 months since this problem persists and no one bothered fixing it. I don’t think you understand the gravity of the situation since you still leave this here for people to use without fixing that bug.
There are people like me who host on AWS, not shared hosting with cPanel and stuff, and it’s not easy to reach PhpMyAdmin. I found a quick plugin like everyone else, used it, and got locked out of my website. If you abandoned this plugin or you’re not going to update it, at least have the decency to remove it.
Thank you.
I’m very upset, as I have a deadline I need to meet and by using the Advanced WordPress Reset Plugin, I’m now completely locked out of my site and all work is delayed. I’ve emailed support and have not gotten a response. PLEASE help me with this urgent issue.
Hi. in new version after reset the site all users all deleted(include admin user) .
in this case we cant login anymore and we have empty users and usermeta table .
please fix that .
thank you
This plugin worked perfectly but since the last 2 updates whenever I try to reset, it deletes all the users including admin and I have no option left other than to add an admin from the database or sometimes re-installing WordPress. This needs to be fixed ASAP
Following is the short code that works perfect in preview, and shows nothing live. I have tried everything suggested, except the one that will work. I’ve shut down plugins, changed themes etc.
I use Kadence theme and kadence & Getwid Blocks. Litespeed cache. Cloudflare.

There are about 20 similar scripts, none work.
I sure hope their is help out there. Thank you.
If possible, please implement the following code to \includes\reset.php (current line 60), then the “Reset database” button can display the translation for the localized version correctly.
<input id=”DBR_reset_button” name=”DBR_reset_button” type=”submit” class=”button-primary DBR-button-reset” value=”<?php _e(‘Reset database’,’advanced-wp-reset’); ?>”/>
Hello,
I have been working on the company website with the help of this plugin, from scratch. With no interference of the old stuff, working from scratch has been smooth sailing. However, I am starting to get some remorse when it comes to my blog posts! I was wondering if there is anyway of exhuming my old blog posts on my blog page, without losing any of the work I have done on the site. Please advise.
Thanks,
Minal
Any status update on multisite support? Looking for db reset for MU. Thanks.
Hello,
I want to reset ONE site on my multisite and your plug-in seems to be the thing I need.
But… When I activate it on the site I want to reset, will it only reset THAT site and not any others on my multisite?
I chose the function “deep cleaning” and I’ve been waiting for 3 hours to finish the job.
Could you please tell me how long does it last?
Thank you
The plugin is failing to recreate the user for me. The wp_users
table is completely empty. The user I had was admin
with the password admin
(don’t worry, it’s a localhost install).
I’m using WordPress 5.0-alpha-42649 (SVN) and getting some errors from trying to set cookies after content has already been sent:
I’m not sure if those are related or not to the issue as I haven’t dug into the code.
Hi! I see this in the description:
Actually the plugin does not support Multisite installation. We will add it as soon as possible.
How it’s going?
Do you know the solution to reset a particular site on a multisite network?
90% of my plugins were already deactivated before I ran this plugin.
Now I can not login to my site. Tried password reset and it says user nor email can be found.
Any words of wisdom? Not too happy at the moment.
