It looks like this plugin has stopped working in WordPress 5.6 with the Classic Editor plugin. Too bad.
]]>Hello,
this plugin does just what I need but it seems like it isn’t being maintained any more.
Is it so simple that it hasn’t needed to be updated yet? Or has it been abandoned?
Cheers,

I use Make theme (from The Theme Foundry). I haven’t tested with other themes but I get an error when Advanced wplink is activated and I am on the /wp-admin/customize.php page:
Uncaught ReferenceError: awl_title is not defined

On all my admin pages since installing this plugin a ::before element is appearing directly after the body tag which has the following content, which is also visible on the admin screens.

]]>Howdy!
This plugin looks like exactly what I would need in every WordPress site! Very smart functions, just as anyone needs – thank you for this.
Only: Will it be further maintained? Specifically does it play with WordPress 4.8 and are there plans for future support?
Thanks for clarifying as I wouldn’t like to offer it to my customer if it might break in short time…
Best regards

Hi there,
I’ve just discovered that there was a small issue regarding the “Link-title” field. For some reason, if you insert more than one link with a title attribute, the “Link-title” field keeps the value used for the previous link inserted. However I think the “link-title” field should always be empty by default. Could that be fixed in the next release of the plugin?
Thanks for your plugin by the way!
]]>Hi dear, I need disable the – Enable/Disable the Inline Linking from WP 4.5+ but not works with this plugin
Thanks for support
]]>Thanks for the great plugin. It does exactly what I was looking for.
I found one tiny glitch when installing. I installed it on a multisite. On the network plugins page I then clicked the “Settings” link and it went to a dead page, because it went to this URL:
https://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/network/options-general.php?page=advanced-wplink-settings
(404 error)
instead of
https://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=advanced-wplink-settings
Hope this helps.
]]>Hi, it is possible to enable glotpress? https://translate.www.ads-software.com/locale/cs/default/wp-plugins/advanced-wplink
I want to translate plugin to czech language.
Thx
]]>Today I was prompted to update Advanced WP-LINK, and when I did, an error in the code tanked my whole site. The error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/ginabad/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/advanced-wplink/class/Activate.php on line 6
The code looked ok to me but I’m not much of a programmer. Can you help? Thanks.
]]>hello there,
you have created this plugin to replace the useless inline wordpress linking tool.
So the purpose of your plugin was to make the linking just as it was before the new wordpress update.
And you got very close, except for the “title” field (which used to be in the old wordpress linking ) which you replaced with “link text” which is a 100% useless feature, because in order to create the link you have already written something which you highlight and then select “link”.
Could you fix this little thing?
You can even remove the button functionality and of course the “link text” altogether.
thank you
D.
Great work on this! Much needed plugin. I noticed one CSS tweak needed, whereas the check boxes are out of alignment ‘Open link in a new tab’ and ‘rel=”nofollow”‘ That’s just some feedback and QA.
Awesome plugin.
]]>Could you add back in the TITLE= field that used to be there? This can be helpful for adding context and necessary info for vision-impaired users, as well.
]]>Hello,
I’m not using WordPress’ own Cron but my hoster’s dedicated Cron tool which runs once every thirty minutes.
After installing this plugin I’m getting an error message from my Cron:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in .../wp-content/plugins/advanced-wplink/inc/funcs.php on line 6
The line of code in question looks fine to me – any clues what might be causing this?
Thanks
Alexander
