Well, well, well. First, you need to purchase to find out that the complete system is relying on cookies. What a shame, this is not practical, once a user is deleting his browser, referral sales are no longer recorded which is a mess. This makes a NO GO for this plugin at all. Support is also crap, after one message no further interaction.

I have tried for more than 3 years to have them fix a bug. The plugin is not loading jquery and css when language is other than default. Instead lof looking at how to help a paying customer, they say it’s not core WP feature and refuse to look at it.

I initially read some of the other reviews and got discouraged from downloading and trying this plugin. But luckily I did do it in the end because as it turns out, these other reviewers must have either reviewed a very old (and therefore different) version of this plugin, or they expect everything to be served on a golden plate to them.
I was able to figure out all the functions of this plugin using their website. And now I have successfully set up my own affiliate program. I have achieved something that I thought was very complicated – thanks to this plugin!

La propuesta esta muy buena, se puede trabajar con todo lo que necesita en el tema de afiliados para productos.
Existen dos inconvenientes, los cuales son:
1- El formulario de registro: tanto la casilla de la provincia como la del código postal está anclada a los Estados pertenecientes a Estados Unidos, por lo que es un grave inconveniente para páginas web y clientes fuera de ese país.
2.- La contrase?a para el usuario recién registrado (no estoy seguro si es porque trabajé el complemento en el local host). No me llega a mi correo Gmail el registro de mi correo como afiliado, así mismo ocurre con la recuperación de la contrase?a.

We are a German company and wanted to involve a simple but practical affiliate program in our online store (shop.erdenfreund.de).
Unfortunately, there were a few small bugs in German website language. When we contacted the support, they helped quickly and competently and that with a free plugin!

very buggy.
– no email with login credentials for affiliates.
– emails will get overwritten if you try to edit more than one at once.
– email tags like {blogname} and {aff_first_name} aren’t working.

If you’re looking for an affiliate scheme thats simple and effective then this is the one.
Admittedly the user interface is very simple but if you know a bit of css, you can make it suit your site.

Great plugin! Tested. Everything works flawlessly!
I don’t know why some users say the plugin doesn’t work ?! They probably don’t have the patience to set the settings the right way. Everything is explained.
The only plugin you can customize to your liking. Custom fields, invaluable. Users can register in the Affiliate program while logged in to the site. This means that users do not need to have separate registrations.

I don’t think there is enough time for me to write everything I found to NOT work. The creation of pages, the login page, passwords, purchases, etc.. I started to figure out workarounds but every corner I turned had another wrong, broken, etc. Don’t waste your time!!!

The plugin only supports US affiliate registration for registration forms. The custom fields created do not appear on the registration page, and the fields when disabled still appear on the form.

Affiliate Manager is great if you want to get started quickly with building an affiliate network for free. We tested it with the default WordPress stripe payment plugin and it worked as advertised, more or less. There are a few rough edges but for free software, it can’t be beat.
We use gravity forms with the GF stripe add-on for subscriptions. For this one specific use-case, we could not get the WP Affiliate Manager $30 paid add-on integration to work, even with the dedicated help of the wonderful WPinsider support team, who really bent over backwards to try to figure out what was going on. We also tried with PayPal but that didn’t work either. So they refunded us for the plugins immediately.
Our issues may just come down to the idiosyncrasies of our setup. Tracking the subscriptions may work for you no problem. In any case, this should be the first affiliate management software you try since it is free and the paid add-ons are inexpensive and you only have to buy them once.

I get tons of fake ( spam ) registrations

Doesn’t work. It doesnt show some of the affiliates I add on the affiliate page and that means you can’t track them. There are errors on the emails affiliates receive. To keep it short, not working properly, don’t waste your time. Contacted support all I got was that is not a plugin issue lol..

I had a very complex conflict with Affiliate Manager and Permalink Manager Lite Plugin that was interfiring with the Affiliate Manager registration process, and I thought that was really impossible to solve! I contacted my hosting provider and they couldn’t solve this issue.. I tested by myself several options trying also to solve this problem.. Then I play my last card contacting the support service of Permalink Manager and Affiliates Manager without any hope based in others experiences, asking for one solution and the Permalink Manager Developer kindly provided me with a code snippet, in order to be able to use both plugins normally without no conflicts!..
It’s the first time that I receive such type of support from the Team Developers of some plugins. I’m more than happy with the results ! I hope all supports services could be so efficient like you !

This plugin is so confusing for my affiliates that I have hundreds of people registered and they have no idea how to get their links. The set up of the pages is weird, and they’re all shortcode so you can’t change them. Sometimes when you go to log in to dashboard it just gives you a screen that says “you’re logged in as […]” but you don’t see any dashboard.
Then even if by some miracle you get to the dashboard, the tab where the affiliate links are is called “Creatives”. Why?!? How could anyone guess that this is where their links are?

As you can see in the support forum for the free plugin, support is hours, not days or weeks. That in it’s self tells you this is a professional company. The plugin is easy to set-up and the documentation clear and complete. We will be upgrading to the pro license. This plugin deserves to be suppoeted and kept alive.
