The lightbox mode is nice. Works. Running WordPress 4.9.6 and Buddypress 3.1.0.
UPDATE (05/11/20): needs the fix that @jrf gave but with this it still works: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/bug-fix-not-checking-the-box-has-no-effect/
But lightbox has an issue so using the link option.

It has the flexibility to let you put in your own Terms of Use/Privacy Policy. I was able to add it to the WP native login. Beside the checkbox, there is a link to the terms and privacy policy landing page. The fact that it shows up on the login page every 30 days means that previously registered members will be required to ‘agree’ with the terms too.

The concept is great, and this the exact way to do it; thus this plugin has errors in its code, has a serious compatibility issues with several other plugins and libraries (Magnific popup will stop working in all the website after activating it, has a very high load time…)
If you’re unavailable to update the plugin and to handle its support hand it over to someone who can since not so many options are available.

So, there is a BIG problem in code which causes even on my test site which is clean of plugins where I wanted to get it on registration page… Fix that and man, cmon support 4.4.x versions of WP (even WP 4.5 is beta stage lolz)

Very good plugin. Only the last update has a lightbox error. When lightbox is opened terms comes with html codes like

Simply said – it’s the most unreliable plugin I’ve ever seen.
When I first installed it, it works, but even JUST ONE additional plugin for WP – regardless of what it it = even just simple ones like “Askimet” – causes agreable to crumble. Worse: When uninstalled, it leaves residue, meaning some data is left behind that must be removed / edited by hand.
Better not use this instead create a landing page that requires new registrants to read Terms and “continue” before they can register.

Hi,
I have the last version of wordpress and buddypress, when intalling the plugins aned activate it on the register page, this page doesn’t wok, I have this message :
A 500 error has occured
500 errors are generally caused by one of the following two problems.
1) A bad entry in the site .htaccess file, if you are the webmaster try logging into your cPanel, and use the file manager to rename your .htaccess file if this fixes the error you should then check the contents of the .htaccess file / roll back any recent changes.
2) A php error / code error also causes a 500 error, you can try enabling ‘PHP display_errors’ by following this guide Enable Display errors
If after trying both of the above solutions and you are still seeing the 500 error please do contact support.

Setup and configuration works good. Simple and easy.
But: The link for the terms opens a popup with a static hard coded size. This does not work on tablets or phones. Additionally the popup uses its own style sheet. Headers and Lists are broken on all devices.
