I used the plugin on my site and used stripe in test mode. When I make payment it shows green tick on the form, but shows red line on page https://www.screencast.com/t/idZbbW3KI

Please help me sort out this, as I have to make this page live ASAP.

Note:- I am using same stripe API keys on other plugin on same website. Is that making issue??

Hello, thanks for creating this plugin. The plugin has jQuery errors. On our website the jQuery libraries load at the end/footer of the page, however this stripe plugin attempts to use jQuery library higher up in the page before the jQuery libraries are loaded. Any ideas on how to correct this? Thank you.

Is it possible to setup an automatic reoccurring donation through this plugin? I know I can manually set it up in stripe after the first payment – just wondering if I could skip that step and have it start out that way

Hi Hal, I love the plugin, was so easy to set up. But I haven’t been able to take any live payments. Our site is https://saltsarkar.com and the plugin is in the section Get Involved.

I’m not sure how to make the custom template. So I had edited the file that contains Amount: $ to Amount ￡ Would that stop the plugin from working?

Also we dont yet have SSL set up for the site, would that stop it from working?

However, because I am in the UK, I changed the appropriate Currency in Settings, but how do I change the $ symbol just before the Amount box to ￡

Hello,

The way the checkout popup is called causes an error on Android. This was confirmed by stripe support. You can see verify at this url:

The suggest from Stripe support is to call the checkout differently. Here is their response to my support request:

“Thanks for reaching out to us, I’m happy to help you with this! I looked at your web site and was able to reproduce this issue on Android.

It looks like what’s happening here is that Android isn’t happy with the way that you’re triggering an open of the pop-up window, thus it is engaging a pop-up blocker which causes this odd state and ultimately the error.

I think its most likely because of the way your on click call is constructed.

I might try jQuery(“#hg-stripe-donate-button-tanguero”).on(“click”,function(e) { }); instead of jQuery(document.body).on(‘click’, ‘#hg-stripe-donate-button-tanguero’, function( e ) {});

Mobile browsers in particular can be a bit finicky about how clicks are triggered.

So I read through the other posts and all of my settings appear to be correct, but I get the red stripe at the end of a payment:

Donation system is down at this time, please try again soon.

So checking my Stripe logs, this appears at the end of the Response body:

livemode: true
type: “card”
used: false

Seems like it isn’t pushing it through at the end. I did update the Stripe API as I was having problems with the previous version and the issue persists.

Hi Hal, first thanks for letting me try what looks like the best stripe donation plugin! VERY easy to set up, clever design, all thought through it seems. Would love to give it 5 stars, and am shocked no one has rated it yet.

For the record: No cache plugin active, still doesn’t work clicking the donate button. Shortcode is exactly like on your webste documented.

What do I win?
OK – Great looking plug-in. I’m excited to use it once I figure out what I’m doing wrong.
*I’ve set my plugin for customer to input their amount. I’m testing my $1. But it’s not processing over at stripe. Text comes to me when I click ‘Remember me’, but card does not process.
Also, ‘Thank you for your generous support’ does not pop up cleanly above payment. (shows as thin red line without text inside).
-In live mode it shows a ‘green check’ as if all is good but nothing comes in at Stripe.
-Keys are all correct.
-Now placed in Test mode, if you would like to try it.
