this plugin is ok and really help us but there is something to improve.
Subscribers list page is uncomfortable,
needs to split “name” into “firt name and last name” and make these links sortable.
This can help us to order the list immediately.
On ALO blog i have not found a solution, how we can make doable this?

I love this plugin, thank you for developing it.
In my installation, I added some small changes to the alo_em_add_subscriber() function — line 109 of functions/alo-easymail-subscribers.php — to allow for including mailing lists right in the function.
To do this, I simply added an extra parameter to the function — $lists=”|” — so that the entire function name looks like :
alo_em_add_subscriber( $fields, $newstate=0, $lang="", $lists="|" )
Then, I simply replaced the ‘|’ value with the $lists variable on line 131 :
'lists' => $lists,
This will allow for a very streamlined adding new subscribers to certain mailing lists on custom forms or custom actions. Opens a lot of features and saves the need to use the alo_em_add_subscriber_to_list() function, which in my use case is complicating the workflow. The main issue is that the alo_em_add_subscriber_to_list() function doesn’t have an easy way to be called at the same time as deploying alo_em_add_subscriber_to_list, in a custom action for example (like in my case where I am trying to patch together a zapier set up with a google sheet).
The only thing that people using this function need to be aware of is making sure the $lists value is properly structured with the list values nested in the | characters ( for example : |1|2|3|4| ) — there might be a more clever way to automate this aspect, but for my purposes the way it is with my additions works great.
Would love to see this or something similar rolled out in the next update!

since one week I get a lot of spam subscribers every day. Is there a way to avoid spam subscribers in the widget or to add this as developer via hook? I looked through your code and didn’t find a way to validate subscribers before adding to the database.

I am trying to set up a system where new subscribers automatically get sent the same “Welcome” Newsletter.
I reviewed the documentation and noticed that there is an action for alo_easymail_new_subscriber_added.
Is there a way to add to this action an automatic “send x newsletter to the new_subscriber” ?
This would be an amazing feature to be able to have in this already amazing plugin. Thank you so much!

I’m at the beginning of building a new site for a client(dev in progress). I have a question.
How to I enable Post Comments on the Newsletter Posts that are created with Alo EasyMail Newsletter? I checked my Discussion Settings in WP, I also tried to find the Posts in Post Edit to check the Comments Option but the Posts are not available in WP Posts.
I also checked my Post Template but it says that the Comments are not enabled in WP. But, if I create Posts outside of Alo EasyMail Newsletter, Comments are enabled and okay.
Am I missing something? Can you help?

To meet the requeirements of GDPR article Article 7 (1) I want to know if there is any possibility to log the time and from which IP the user clicked the link in the opt-in Mail.
Article 7 (1) says as follows:
“Where processing is based on consent, the controller shall be able to demonstrate that the data subject has consented to processing of his or her personal data.”
to be able to demonstrate has consented to this processing, the information when and from, which IP the link had been clicked is crucial.
This is an information which should also be in the export of user data provided by the privacy function of WordPress.

10 months ago I wrote about a problem with sending behavior. But I didn’t follow up on your questions. I am therefore coming back to re-submit the problem since it persists despite the updates of ALO EasyMail Newsletter.
Sending reports always indicate 100.0% for Unique Views and Clicks.
But I received some Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender messages.
How is it possible to get 100.0% for Unique views and Clicks and at the same time to receive some Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender messages?
I check with one of those subscribers for which I received Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender messages, and he did’t receive the newsletter. But ALO shows me 100.0% for Unique views and Clicks.
I use Post SMTP plugin by yehuda as a SMTP service.
In ALO EasyMail Newsletter settings, the Batch sending options are:
1) Maximum number of emails that can be sent in a 24-hr period: 2000
2) Maximum number of emails that can be sent per batch (every 5 minutes): 25
3) Interval between emails in a single batch, in milliseconds: 0
And there is a green band at the top with the following message:
The cron is scheduled to launch a batch every 5 minutes. Next possible sending: 11 Jan 2021 @ 11:13
I have 375 subscribers.
Can it be a problem with the provider mail server (Blue Host in my case) ?

I have sent my first newsletter. All our newsletters will be 95% identical, so I’d like to either resend the previous newsletter with some edits, or copy it and edit the new one. I cannot find a way to accomplish this.

The signup shortlink for ALO Easymail it uses the term “Newsletter” which will be confusing because it is not our newsletter. Is there a way to change this? avrei bisogno di un tuo consiglio riguardo un problema che sto avendo usando il plugin, nello specifico nonostante su aruba abbia tutte le caratteristiche al massimo (memory limit 512M che è il massimo su aruba), il log continua a mostrarmi “Fatal Error: Allowed memory size exhausted…ecc” e navigando sul sito ogni tanto va in errore 500 per questo motivo.
Ho questi parametri attualmente:
– Numero massimo di e-mail spedibili in un periodo di 24 ore: 2000
– Numero massimo di e-mail spedibili in un singolo blocco di invio (ogni 5 minuti): 25
– Intervallo tra le e-mail in un singolo blocco di invio, in millisecondi: 0
– bounce policy: 150
Come mi consigli di impostarli, da Aruba dicono di disattivare il plugin ma non voglio perchè il tuo plugin mi serve come il pane!

I encounter a problem with the subscription and unsubscription links.
When someone subscribes to the newsletter, he does recieve a mail and the link in the mail does open the subscription page, saying thank you for your subscription and all. But the subscription itself doesn’t work. However, everything seems to be well configured in the plugin settings. I need to validate the subscription myself in the list of subscribers.
The same happens when someone wants to unsubscrbe. The link at the end of each newsletter opens correctly and show the page of unsubscription, but the unsubscription is not effective.
I really don’t understand the problem, I checked all the settings several times… And I have no knoledge at all to check directly the php files.
Thanks a lot in advance for your help, in France it’s not legal if a user can’t unsubscribe anytime he likes and it’s a real worry for me.
]]>I use ALO EasyMail Newsletter on two different WordPress sites and tried to send out the same newletter from both sites. The newletter to the list with 50 subscribers went out without a hitch.
The report for the newsletter to the list with almost 600 subscribers shows that all mails were successfully sent. However, the report shows no clicks or opens (and I normally have an open rate of almost 50%) and several subscribers reported that they never received the newsletter, so I suspect that it wasn’t actually sent out, no matter what the report claims.
The text of both newletters, the one with 50 and the one with 600 subscribers) was exactly the same and one was sent and the other wasn’t, so the problem cannot lie there.
Any idea what might be the issue here?

Since a short while I am trying to administer a WordPress site. The site was running smoothly untill our provider applied a PHP update. Now we have problems sending emails out of forms we use in the site and with sending out email. We already found out that when we use the Alo Easymail plugin, we now have to fill in the bounce setting, which were always empty. The connection test on that bounce screen are now ok. Still when I want to create the list of receivers, I screen pops up in which I can enter manually an email address to receive a test newsletter: when I press “send” a red cross pops up and I cannot continue. Anyone has a tip for me on this?

And also I can send system mail but not newsletter by Alo easymail. Do you have any idea which may cause this?
]]>Error message on my Plugins page – ALO Easymail Newsletter needs attention!
It then tells me that the database tables are not properly installed and suggests to deactivate and reactive the plugin, or to install the tables manually. When I looked at the tables, the only one which shows is wp_easymail_recipients which has no data. When I tried to create the missing tables, I get an error message to say that the table already exists. If I try to DROP the table it tells me it is dropped, but when I try to create a new one …. no, it already exists.
I seem to be going round and round in circles.
I have updated all wordpress/woocommerce/plugins before attempting to resolve this issue. I don’t understand why a table which is missing from the list in phpMyAdmin is still apparently there. This plugin was working a year ago (last time I checked).
Can someone help me please.

The shortcodes [READ-ONLINE] and [READ-ONLINE-URL] are not working properly when qtranslate-XT is activated.
When qtranslate-XT is on, the shortcode redirects to the home page.
When qtranslate-XT is off, the shortcode redirects to the news letter page with all languages displayed.
The “Newsletter” page from which you can edit the list of subscriptions, works from desktop, but not from mobile device.
If I click the button to unsubscribe from the smartphone, a page with no content opens.

I am using WordPress 5.4.2 and the latest version of Alo Easymail with Qtranslate-xt… but now both my languages are appearing in the newsletters (ex: [:en] Our site…. [:fr] Notre site…. This did not happen before I upgraded.
This happens only with the [‘SITE-NAME’], [‘SITE-LINK’] and [‘SITE-DESCRIPTION’] placeholders. Everything else, date, content, etc. is translated correctly. Anyone have a solution ? or can tell me where to look ?
