Love this plugin, but it will break your site if you upgrade to php 7.0 since it uses the deprecated function ereg_replace.

Has anyone made a nice fork that I can use instead?

Sad to say this plugin is no longer maintained. It was intuitive and really user friendly. Alpine Press maintenance is missing. Please keep up the good work! ??

This is by far the best Instagram plugin for WordPress. The others fail to live up to this free plugin, the only downside is the developers haven’t updated it in a while.

For such a fantastic plugin with lots of potential, it’s a shame that it doesn’t get a little Update Love from the developers.

I preview on the shortcode page, I can see it links to my instagram. But when I put the shortcode on the post page. it shows page not found when I preview.
Please help.

This used to be a really useful plugin that was fairly easy to set up and gave you just the right amount of options for the display of either your own Instagram pictures or a feed based on an universal tag.

Unfortunately it is no longer maintained. This spring it has slowely stopped working. First the tag-stopped. Not everywhere, just in a couple of places but now it is more broken than working.

I have tried other options (I will not mention which because then one of the moderators will turn up and deleate this) but haven’t found anything as useful.

After trying literally 16 Instagram plug-ins, I was THRILLED to find a widget with options (but not too many). Brilliant for footers or anything else. Creates links to your Instagram accounts without frills.

It was easy to setup and runs well.

Unfortunately, it appears to lack some basic functionality like using a date range to select which photos to show. Instead, you can simply set the number of images to show (up to 100).

Not sure what it was exactly, but this plugin killed my site – causing it to load about half the content and then eventually time out. Removing it was the only solution to restore the site fully.

It worked fine previously, and then I guess some of the code conflicted with another on the site. Now I have a fear that if I reinstall the plugin, it will break again. Just a warning.

I’ve used this for a long time and am grateful for its functionality.

Works well, has different display options, etc.

The only thing I found wrong with is is that the user #hashtag feed functionality was not reliable, but the plugin states that from the get go, so I expected it not to work.

This functionality stopped working after a week of running fine. Not sure if the endpoints change or what but the SSL support is gone. I’d be happy to change my review once this is fixed. Great plugin – wish SSL worked!

This was so easy. I’m just setting up my site and am completely unfamiliar with a lot of this stuff. I have spent 4 days off and on trying to get an instagram widget that would simply display my pictures on the sidebar. This is the first one that worked and it took about 5 mins.

I tried using this plugin, however it won’t load due to the fact my jQuery is loaded at the bottom. There’s an option in the plugin to force jQuery load on top, however this seems like a workaround not a solution.

I tried contacting the plugin author, to see if he could help me with loading it with jQuery at the bottom of the page, however he never responded.

Oh well.

The plugin author contacted me. He’s super upset about my review. Although he did explain the reason the plugin could not work with jQuery loaded in the footer.

Perfect plugin if you need Instagram pictures in great customizable widgets. Instead of other similar plugins, it has very important benefits like

1) async code – almost not slows down page loading
2) multi-user support
3) multi-instance widgets, fully customizable per instance

FINALLY an instragram plugin that makes setting up and creating the API keys for the feed a breeze.

Super easy to follow instructions. I installed numerous Instagram plugins until I could finally get this one to work. I wish I had found this one sooner!

Flexible layout makes CSS markup customisations easy. Also has several shortcodes for varying layout combinations, although I customised the layout using pure css.

This is the first plug-in that works as I want it to without re-coding.

The only bummer was that I wanted my Pinterest feed to be formatted the same, and low and behold Alpine makes a matching Pinterest feed!! No re-coding required.

This plugin works very well. After trying 4 different plugins, this is the one I’m going with for my client’s website. It is easy to use, includes detailed, easy-to-follow instructions for set-up, and does exactly what I want it to do. It is also flexible and customizable.
