Hi there,
I’m getting the 502 error when someone is adding something to the cart at https://rtiwala.com/services as the same has been confirmed with the WordPress support in chat.
After deactivating the same it worked well. Please fix!

I would like to create a site like https://www.bestdeals.today, can I change the design of the products view to look like this https://www.bestdeals.today/paint-paint-supplies
thanks for your help
Hi !
I noticed on my whole site that when I have an amazon link, all the accents and special characters are affected by wrong charset. It doesn’t affect page title part.
Check https://frenchw.net/test/ for example.
Title is “TEst et détails dipl?me” and is rendered correctly
Content contains “Détail de l’offre proposée” and is rendered ‘D??TAIL DE L’OFFRE PROPOS??E’ (if’s in H3)
it’s because I have just after a simple link:

If I use the new Guttenberg tag, it’s OK but I can’t use it everywhere.

CAUSE
after searching all around, I found the cause. It’s in /plugins/amazon-associates-link-builder/rendering/content_filter.php
A regex searches the page content for amazon urls and makes some changes.
In this file, and to match the example just above, If I change in
private static $AMAZON_DOMAINS = array(......
… the “amazon.co.uk” string to… lets say… “amazon.com.uk” then regex doesn’t match and my page is rendered correcty.
I’m not a good php developper and I can’t find easily why this code changes the accents contened in the page:
//Remove noreferrer form amazon anchor links
foreach ( $anchor_node_list as $anchor_node ) {
if ( $this->has_amazon_link( $anchor_node ) ) {
$this->remove_noreferrer( $anchor_node );
$content_updated = true;
}
}
return $content_updated ? $document->saveHTML() : $content;
I’m available for better testing
best regard.
I can’t seem to get OneLink working using Divi by Elegant themes.
Using the Divi Post editor I enter a product in the Amazon search bar, but when I click search, nothing happens.

In the Settings page AssociatesLink Builder I get an error:
ERROR – WordPress could not update file(/home2/espenhel/public_html/wp-content/uploads/amazon-associates-link-builder/GeoLite2-Country.mmdb) for geo-targeted links feature, so these links may not work correctly. This file can be downloaded from here
Could this be part of the error?
1. How do I fix the error message? (I’ve tried downloading the file and uploaded it in the file manager with no luck)
2. How do I get Amazon search to work within the Divi Post Builder?
Thank you for any help.
Hi, Amazon Associates team.
This is Marcel, developer of Featured Image from URL plugin (60,000+ active installs). And this is not exactly a question about your plugin.
Well, many of my users are your partners at Amazon Associates program and they use to ask me to integrate FIFU plugin to Amazon Associates.
Since they are not allowed to store Amazon product images in their media library, my plugin is very useful for them. However, I think the integration could be much better.
For now they need to visit Amazon store and manually get the image URLs, what’s not good.
So I would like to know if you have an API for developers/apps. What I want to do is to get all the image URLs of an Amazon product by ID. Is there a way? Thanks!
When we insert Amazon Links with this plugin they appear as left aligned. I would like them to be centered on our post but can’t find any options for that.
Anyone have suggestions for how to change the aliment of the links? It looks very messy when you have several links up and they’re all aligned to the left on the page.
Your plugin inflates largely the wp-options. Talking about hundreds of megabytes. Regular dbase is 30mb and with all your “aalb_update_table_batch_xxxxxx” it ads another 400MB and keeps going up.
What is the solution? Is this a bug? It delays the whole website gradually.
Hi
I am trying to figure out how to reduce the padding on the Grid. I think the padding between the top and bottom row, and the below the bottom row.
How can I reduce this?
I am not very versed in CSS or advanced HTML so I can’t figure it out. I think I have changed every padded px option I could find but it still won’t do it.
thanks
Bumping up again this yet unanswered question from others: Is there going to be an updated version of the Amazon Associate Link Builder WordPress Plug-in ahead of the new Amazon API 5.0 implementation on October 31, 2019, when it will replace the current API 4.0?
The current plugin is version 1.9.3 is 3 months old (August 05, 2019) and I am concerned that version won’t work with the upcoming API 5.0.
Any info on that plugin update?

Buenas tardes.
He querido configurar la API, sin embargo no he podido.
Deben realizarse las tres ventas para poder optar a esta configuración.
Buenas tardes.
After a few others and I got into these horrendous API blocks for too many API calls, I did a little digging.
My wp_options table was filling up with thousands and thousands of API batch call records. To the point where I had more than half a GB in that one table alone.
Initially I just started deleting thousands of records, then I dug a little deeper.
In the source to this plugin is a source file called: ./constants/cron_constants.php
Inside that file I found a mixture of constants referring to various time periods expressed as both numeric values in seconds, and as “15 minutes”.
Changing two of the constants which were ‘value’ to their equivalent in seconds.
These are the two I changed:
/**
* GHL – 25 minutes in seconds = 1500 – use seconds, not english representation
*/
// const CACHE_REFRESH_AGE = ’25 MINUTE’;
const CACHE_REFRESH_AGE = ‘1500’;
/**
* GHL – 24 hours in seconds = 86400 – use seconds, not english representation
*/
// const CACHE_EVICT_AGE = ’24 HOUR’;
const CACHE_EVICT_AGE = ‘86400’;
Voila – plugin is back to behaving and the wp_options table is no longer a mess full of extra cache batch rows.
Under some site configurations this plugin messes up the character encoding of the main content area. The bug affects the frontend of sites only and then only the main content area i.e not the sidebars, menus, widgets etc…
Seriously, guys, invest some time and money into this plugin to fix its faults or else remove the plugin from the WordPress plugin directory. For a company worth billions, this plugin should be the best example of great coding in a WordPress plugin found anywhere on or off the web. As it is, this plugin is pathetic.
Hi –
I get this error in my WordPress AALB settings:
ERROR – WordPress could not find file GeoLite2-Country.mmdb at “DownloadsFolder”(/var/www/volumes/xvdg3/vhosts/wildlifesafariadventures.com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/amazon-associates-link-builder), so geo-targeted links will not work correctly.
I contacted the admin of my website to get the read/write permission and they try the following:
‘We corrected the permission of all the files and directories. Also, uploaded the file “GeoLite2-Country.mmdb” manually to DownloadsFolder. Still, it is showing an error.’
So can you help me with this?
Thanks,
Sonia
To meet the requirements of:
https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/advertising/api/detail/agreement.html,
The prices need to be periodically refreshed. This seems to be why the plug-in is causing API throttling issues for some people as it’s trying to get all these prices all of the time.
“Further, if the product price is not refreshed every one hour, the displayed price should be accompanied with a timestamp when the price was read.”
Looking at the default template, it does not comply with Amazon’s own policy as there’s no mention of this date.
{{#StrikePrice}} <!– The section tag ensures that strike price is displayed only if it is available –>

<!– The section tag for different marketplaces ensures localization of static text. –>
{{StrikePriceLabel}}: {{StrikePrice}}

{{/StrikePrice}}
Don’t waste your time, if you sell products through Amazon don’t bother with this plugin, you will just end up wasting your time when there are better ways to deal with the links you want. Amazon have no interest in supporting the plugin and are only interested in high volume sellers. Of course they have gone the eBay route now of not helping people to improve sales hence the lack of support. Ultimately they are alienating their core and discouraging new vendors, makes no financial sense at all but this is where we are.
